This week, Canyon was able to go to the park since the weather was nice and warm on Monday. Some of them played with dandelions and the others got excited when they saw a ladybug on the slide. We also did a writing activity wherein the kids were taught how to hold and use a marker effectively as they glide and write along the pointy lines and curves on their paper. We had our swimming class as usual, though Coach Ken led the class last Tuesday.
In line with the upcoming Children’s Day, Canyon enjoyed making their koinobori. The children learned how to hold a paintbrush and practiced simple strokes by following the lines on their paper. We also let them choose the colors they want to use.
Moreover, we continued to do the phonics and focused mainly on the first 4 letters of the alphabet, A to D. Some of them can give good examples of words that begin with each letter. We will carry on with similar topics next week and start tackling new themes after the Golden Week.
Enjoy the long weekend, everyone!
