One of the best ways to enjoy the fall season is to get out and explore nature. This week, we went to a big park that’s a little far from our school. It’s our way of letting our young ones explore nature and the season. Playing outdoors in the autumn engages children’s five senses and encourages their emotional and physical growth. Giving them the opportunity to experience nature and play outdoors promotes their learning and curiosity about the world around them.
Everybody enjoyed playing on the big structure, running over the hills, and collecting dried leaves. It was truly a great experience for everyone!
We started our lines of inquiry 2, where we talked about “How to Express Ourselves Through Performing.” To begin the lesson, the teacher showed some pictures of children with different feelings and emotions. Then, the students guessed their feelings and imitated them. It was a good start to learn various feelings and emotions, so they will learn how to express themselves. We’re using these emotions to portray their characters when we practice for the Christmas show play.
For our activity, we did a facial expression activity. The students shared how they feel, and then, using their playdough, they made a face to show their emotion. Well done!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
