Hi everyone. Welcome to Rainbow’s third blog of the month. The weather was comfortably cool at the beginning of the week so we took advantage of this and headed to the park!

Learning about body parts

As we continued learning the names of body parts this week, we completed a hands-on face craft using paper plates, construction paper, wool, crayons, and double-sided tape. Rainbow friends colored their noses, ears, mouths, and eyes, then used wool to create hair by sticking it onto the double-sided tape. For some of the children, it was their first time handling these types of materials. Through this activity, they practiced their fine motor skills and engaged their senses in a fun and creative way. It was also a great opportunity to review the shape names they learned last month. We discovered that our eyes and faces are round;just like circles!
