On Monday, September 6th, a mom and doctor, came to visit us to talk about her job. She is Dr. Oshima of Red Cross Hospital. She discussed her responsibilities as a doctor, as part of our LOI 3: Who works in different buildings and their responsibilities<\/em>. As a member of the community, the kids were curious why doctors are important. Dr. Oshima told us the reason why. She also showed us some tools, equipment, and books that she uses at work like a light to see the inside of the nose, a tool to see the throat, otoscope, and more. She showed us human ear, and nasal cavity and throat anatomy models then explained how these parts of the body function and its relation to her job. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
