(August 24th -28th)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week, our Unit of Inquiry was all about <strong>putting teamwork into action<\/strong> as we began an exciting project connected to our Sports Festival. The students are working in teams to design and create their own obstacle. Throughout the week, they had many opportunities to practice sharing ideas, listening to others, making decisions, and working towards a common goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Getting Inspired<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We started by looking at many different pictures of obstacles to help the students get inspired. In their teams, they talked about what they noticed and which ideas they liked. Rather than choosing an obstacle straight away, the students collected different ideas and added them to their <strong>team idea boards<\/strong>. The students shared what they wanted to make, listened to their teammates, and discussed how different ideas could work together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their goal was not simply to choose one person&#8217;s idea. They had to find something that <strong>everyone on the team could agree on<\/strong>. This gave the students a meaningful opportunity to practice being open-minded and to see that sometimes our final idea can include a little bit of everyone&#8217;s thinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u6b21\u306e\u30c1\u30e3\u30ec\u30f3\u30b8\u306f\u3001\u30c1\u30fc\u30e0\u30ef\u30fc\u30af\u3067\u3068\u3066\u3082\u5927\u5207\u306a\u300c<strong>\u307f\u3093\u306a\u306e\u8003\u3048\u304c\u9055\u3046\u3068\u304d\u3001\u3069\u3046\u3084\u3063\u3066\u4e00\u3064\u306b\u6c7a\u3081\u308b\uff1f<\/strong>\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002\u5404\u30c1\u30fc\u30e0\u3067\u30a2\u30a4\u30c7\u30a2\u30dc\u30fc\u30c9\u3092\u3058\u3063\u304f\u308a\u898b\u306a\u304c\u3089\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u8003\u3048\u3092\u4f1d\u3048\u305f\u308a\u3001\u53cb\u3060\u3061\u306e\u8a71\u3092\u805e\u3044\u305f\u308a\u3001\u4e00\u7dd2\u306b\u76f8\u8ac7\u3057\u305f\u308a\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u4e00\u4eba\u306e\u30a2\u30a4\u30c7\u30a2\u3092\u305d\u306e\u307e\u307e\u9078\u3076\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001<strong>\u30c1\u30fc\u30e0\u306e\u307f\u3093\u306a\u304c\u7d0d\u5f97\u3067\u304d\u308b\u30a2\u30a4\u30c7\u30a2<\/strong>\u3092\u898b\u3064\u3051\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u76ee\u6a19\u3067\u3059\u3002\u53cb\u3060\u3061\u306e\u8003\u3048\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u5165\u308c\u306a\u304c\u3089\u3001\u3044\u308d\u3044\u308d\u306a\u30a2\u30a4\u30c7\u30a2\u3092\u7d44\u307f\u5408\u308f\u305b\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3001\u307f\u3093\u306a\u306e\u601d\u3044\u304c\u5165\u3063\u305f\u3082\u306e\u3092\u4f5c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Turning Our Ideas into Something Real<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By the end of the week, it was finally time to start <strong>designing and building the first version of the obstacles!<\/strong> After spending time gathering ideas and making decisions together, the students were excited to see their plans begin to take shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Importantly, this is only our <strong>first version<\/strong>. As part of the project, the teams will test their obstacles, receive feedback, talk about what worked and what could be better, and make improvements. Instead of only talking about teamwork, they are learning what it feels like to listen, compromise, make decisions, and create something together.
