The students discussed the importance of verifying information by checking multiple sources before sharing it. They were surprised to learn how easily stories can change depending on where the information comes from!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also studied the steps involved in making a news program, from researching and writing scripts to filming and editing. The students enjoyed seeing how many people and roles are needed to make a single broadcast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This project connects directly to our Performance Day, where each group will create and present their own news program live on stage. Students learned how news stations work and discussed what makes information trustworthy and clear. We analyzed examples of news stories and talked about how media can shape the way we think and feel about events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next week, the students will start planning their own group news programs, deciding on topics, reporters, and segments. This project will lead directly to our upcoming Performance Day, where each group will present their news broadcast live on stage. Through this process, students are learning valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and critical thinking while discovering how media can both inform and influence society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
