This week has been so much fun. The students were learning all about seeds and how they grow. There was a class discussion on what plants need.

The first activity the students started an experiment. There are four groups and each group is taking care of a sprout. Each week they will change the water and see how it grows. We will take pictures of it every week to document it. Each group is keeping their sprouts in a different place. One is outside, one is outside but in the dark, one is inside, and the last one is inside in the dark. We will see which sprout grows the best.

The following lessons the students learned about seeds. They watched videos showing how plants grow. We also discussed the different parts seeds have and how to plant and take care of them. We also encouraged them to bring in their own seeds if they would like to and we can plant them together to see how they grow. This is optional.
