Warmest greetings to all! WE ARE CANYON! In our little classroom in Shimauchi Campus, we hope to learn about the great big world around us. We are small yet our hearts are enormous and our minds are strong. Dear Parents, let’s learn, play and have fun together!

Our brand new school year started with the Welcome Ceremony. We are so glad to have 12 new students in our ISN family. In the first few days of school, there were some separation anxieties and tears. As our students eased into the new environment, they started playing, singing and dancing! We played a ball game to get to know one another. We sang ‘Hello’, ‘Good Morning’, talked about Spring and coloured in some cherry blossoms. We learned to say the words ‘marigold, cherry blossoms, flowers bloom’!

We had our first music lesson with the Japanese teacher and Canyon had so much fun dancing to the music. We played our very first instrument too – the castanet. Canyon was really good at listening to instructions. They sang and played a song about a ‘buta’ pig! We had gym lesson too and it went well.

Every morning, we would go outdoor to play. We played in the schoolyard and took the school bus to a nearby park too. We spotted pink cherry blossoms in the park! Canyon not only play hard, but we eat well and sleep well too. A balanced school life is what we seek!

Please see the youtube links for the songs and stories. Songs were downloaded as music only as we are mindful of screen time viewing. We read a book “Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?” and watched a short video story “Spring Has Come” about a brown bear too! Till next Monday, have a lovely weekend!
