Exploring the world – MilkyWay 6/13 – 6/17

LEARNING does not only take place within the four walls of the classroom but beyond.

学びは教室の中だけでなく、外でも行われます！

This week was another exciting week for our Milky Way students; We collaborated with our friends, did lots of things outside the school, and as always had lots of fun in our classroom!

今週もミルキーウェイのクラスはとってもエキサイティングな一週間でした！友達と協力したり、外でたくさんのことをしたり、いつも通り教室でもたくさん楽しみました！

We started the week by collaborating with our beloved Shooting Star friends. We all picked some of our favorite fruits and vegetables and planted them in our school garden. We will never forget this bonding and will forever treasure the memory.

今週は、大好きなShooting Starクラスとの共同作業から始まりました。みんなで好きな野菜の苗を、学校の庭に植えました。プランターに土を入れ、苗の植え方を聞いたら、役割分担をしてみんなで植えました。とてもいい思い出になりました。これから大きく育ってくれるのが楽しみです！

We love our daddies so much so we decided to paint them! We used our well-practiced art and craft skills to paint our daddy’s face. We all hope our daddies will find it cute and special. 🙂

そしてもうすぐ父の日ですね。大好きなお父さんの絵を描くことにしました。アートが大好きなミルキーさん達は、クレヨンと絵の具を使ったはじき絵で、お父さんの顔を描きました。きっと気に入ってくれると思います😊

For our UOI, we have tried different physical activities this week: Zumba, Excercise, Walking, and Relaxing. We talked about the changes that occur in our body whenever we do some activities whether it involves moving a lot or just resting. Our kids are naturally energetic so they barely noticed the difference. They know tho that when they sweat, they use energy and when they get tired after exercising, they know that they have helped their muscles to grow and be more flexible.

UOIでは、今週は様々な運動に挑戦しました。ズンバ、エクササイズ、ウォーキング、そしてリラクゼーションです。たくさん動いたり、しっかり休んだりすることで、私たちの体にどのような変化が起こるかについて話し合いました。ミルキーの子ども達はとてもエネルギッシュなので、その違いにはほとんど気づきませんでした 😊💦しかし、汗をかくとエネルギーを使ったということ、運動して疲れると筋肉が伸びて柔軟性が増すということを実感したようです。

Since the weather is not yet too hot, we are taking this opportunity to take our classroom activities outside; we are trying to learn as we bond with nature. It feels good when we feel the wind, or hear the birds singing while we study.

まだそれほど暑くないので、教室での活動を外に持ち出し、自然との絆を深めながら学ぼうとしています。今週は南部公園に歩いて聞き、芝生の上、そして青空の下で朝の会を行いました！風を感じたり、鳥のさえずりを聞いたりしながら、とっても気持ちのいい朝の会になりました！

We have done something special this week for reading, we practiced word search both using worksheets and books. Our Milky Way Students just love reading and find any reading activities interesting and fun!

今週のリーディングでは、ワークシートと本を使って単語探しの練習をしました。ミルキーウェイの子ども達は読書が大好きで、どんな活動も楽しんでいます。
