We have had a fun Christmas week here in Rainbow, and I hope you have all been enjoying Christmas together at home too!
For the first time this school year, we have been able to answer the question “How’s the weather?” with “It’s snowy today”! Everyone was very excited about the snow and ready to play. Thank you, parents, for bringing nice warm winter clothes for our active boys and girls!
We made a big snowball by rolling it until it became bigger than some of our smaller students!
Everyone helped push the snowball, and used their teamwork to make it even bigger!
We had another fun and energetic gym lesson this week.
Once again, we used the mat to do various fun exercises.
We jumped, bear walked and roll across it. We also practiced our forward roll.
Please take a look at the video of our students doing their best!
It’s important to keep developing their fine motor skill. Tracing lines is a great way to practice their fine motor skill of writing. We used a zig-zag pattern for our tracing worksheet this week.
After completing their tracing, we colored a nice Christmas picture. Before coloring, we talked about some of the things we recognized and what kind of colors we wanted to use.
