It was another week full of games and learning for the Milky Way students.
The preparation for the Christmas party are in full swing and Milky Way is not falling behind. The students are practicing for their play Hansel and Gretel and for their musical performance every day with their music and assistant teachers.
In this week’s Social Studies lessons, the students were learning a lot about Geography and connected it with art. We talked about landmarks from around the world and the typical food associated with different countries. We also learned about communication and what it means to be a good communicator by playing the telephone game.
In Maths, the students continued measuring in centimeters and graduated to learning the difference between centimeters and meters by the end of the week. The long tape measures every student got were very popular and it seems like everyone had fun measuring things around the classroom. They were a tiny bit disappointed the 1,5m long tapes were not enough to measure their teachers.
In Friday’s Craft lesson, the students made their own Christmas ornaments by using paper, paint, glue and Christmas stickers.
We look forward to another fun week!
