Hello everyone!みなさん、こんにちは！
We have yet another fantastic week in rainbow class. We went to Mamejima gym to practice for the sports festival, took the bus to the gym lesson, used our finger and hands to paint, and had a fun music lesson.
今週もとっても楽しい1週間になりました。大豆島体育館で運動会の練習をし、バスでジムレッスンに行き、指を使ったクラフトをし、音楽のレッスンも楽しみました！
Sports festival practice
The sports festival is right around the corner, so we took a trip to the gym we are holding the event. We brought all the equipment we will be using for Rainbow’s obstacle course to the gym. Before starting our practice, we danced together with all the other classes! Not only were we able to practice our own obstacle course, but our young learners got to observe the other classes too as they practiced their own activities.
運動会まで後1週間ちょっとなので、スクール全体で大豆島体育館に練習に行きました。障害物競争に必要な道具を全て持って行って練習したので、準備は万端です！練習をスタートする前にはみんなで楽しく準備体操（ダンス）をしました。お兄さんお姉さんの頑張る姿をみてとっても刺激になりました！
Crafts
We will be holding flags for our opening march at the sports festival. We made our flags together using our handprints to make some cute butterflies! Before making the flags, we asked the kids what color they wanted to use. The two most popular colors were pink and blue, so that’s what we decided to use!
運動会の開会式ではみんなで行進をします。その時にもつ旗の準備をしました。両手の手形をとり、そこに顔写真を貼って蝶々に見立てた旗を作りました。何色の絵の具を使いたいかと聞いたところ、人気のあった青とピンクを使うことにしました。
We also finished our paintings from last week. They used flowers as stamps to finish their beautiful works of art!
そして先週から取り組んでいたSummer Paintingsを完成させました。シロツメクサや猫じゃらしなどの自然の素材を使ってスタンプしていきました！とっても素敵な作品が出来上がりました！
Music lesson
The teacher started the lesson by bringing out a small little toy frog. The kids were amazed when the frog started to jump around! After watching the frog, it was our turn to jump around!
Then, the teacher showed the kids a book featuring a variety of animals. She highlighted three of the animals in the book. The elephant, squirrel and rabbit. The teacher would play different music for each of the three animals. We pretended to be the different animals depending on the music being played by the teacher.
音楽の先生がカエルのおもちゃを持ってきてくれました。カエルさんがジャンプすると子供たちはとっても喜んでいました。そして今度はカエルさんの真似をしてジャンプしました！
その後は、動物が載っている絵本を見せてくれ、その中からぞう、りす、うさぎを取り上げて、その動物に合わせた音楽を弾いてくれました。そのメロディーによってぞうや、りす、うさぎさんの真似をして遊びました！
