Hello Aurora and Shooting Star families!
We have had another fun week at ISN!
For our Unit of Inquiry lessons this week, we are currently reviewing what we have learned in previous lessons.
Once again, our first line of inquiry for this unit is “We share the world with animals”.
1つ目のline of inquiry(キーコンセプト)は“We Share the World with Animals”です。
We reflected on information we learned during the unit, as well as any information students may not have understood.
To start with, students were given an assignment to place an array of animals into their correct habitats.
Our teacher then asked why some specific animals might live in their habitat – students answered regarding colour, body size etc.
Giraffe can’t swim in the water because their legs are too stiff”と答えてくれたお友達もいましたね!
Next, we reviewed our 2nd and 3rd lines of inquiry, “Animals help us” and “We help animals”.
In doing so, we reviewed how to care for a pet.
First, we answered our teacher’s questions regarding positive and negative things one can do with a pet.
After that, our table groups demonstrated different ways to care for a pet – for example walking, bathing and feeding their pets.
Everyone showed great “Caring” skills (one of our learner profiles we have been working on) when caring for pets!
Great job everyone!

Also this week we had some nice weather, and got to play in our outside pool!
Some students wore their bathing suits, while some others decided to stay in their clothes.
Everyone enjoyed cooling off by either swimming or wetting their feet.
We have been working very hard at our bi-weekly swimming lessons, and everyone was keen to show their teachers how well they can swim now!
The younger students are becoming more comfortable in the water, and even enjoy splashing their teacher!
Keep up the great work everyone!

Thank you everyone, and see you again next time!
