This week was the beginning of our new Unit; Japanese Culture. We had a fantastic introduction by taking a fun field trip to the Nagano City Museum inside the historic Hachimanapara Park. Which was an old battlefield of Kawanakajima. We learned a lot about Japanese history and the exploits of Takeda Shingen.
Unfortunately due to the wet weather recently we had to cancel our walk around the grounds. That didn’t stop us having a fun time though. We went to the Gym and have fun with different sports.
On the subject of sports… We have really been developing our skills in swimming and in our gym class. Diving and using a spring board was very scary. However, now we are great risk-takers we enjoyed the challenge even more!
With the Fall Season starting we collected acorns and painted them into little jack-o-lanterns for our Halloween decorations. We also made Mexican Sugar Skull masks! Everyone is excited getting ready for our Halloween Party!
