Happy New Year, everyone! It’s 2025!

New year, new teams! We formed our teams according to the season we like. The team names are ice cream, beach, cherry blossoms, and Santa Claus. These teams are all related to culture. Countries in the world vary their cultures according to the seasons they experience. Aside from that, we also drew our team picture.

It was also fun to play a quiz game together with our teammates. The quiz was about different subjects at school such as Math, Phonics, Japanese, UOI, and Science and Health.

We learned about Vietnamese culture from one of our parents. We learned that North Vietnam has four seasons while South Vietnam has two! That’s why people from the North wear ao dai, a set of clothes perfect for their seasons, while people from the South wear thinner ones. Rice and noodles are their staple food. On the New Year, they eat square-shaped sticky rice stuffed with green beans and pork in the North and round-shaped sticky rice in the South.

The water puppet show is an interesting show where the Vietnamese perform a puppet show in the water! The puppeteers hide behind the curtain while the band and narrators stand on the side of the stage. They usually show the Vietnamese life.

It snowed! We played outside and had fun making snowballs!
