Finland ranks first in the world in terms of happiness
How does well-being affect the future of children..?
Well-being can be described and interpreted in many different ways, but ISN believes that the common denominator is the state of happiness of oneself and those around one’s self. The skills, knowledge, and methods to achieve happiness for oneself and those around us are cultivated in the daily process. A balanced state of mind, body, and spirit, with a broad perspective at a global level and multilingual activities in English, the official language of the world, is what we aim for in the present and future of our children.
University of Turku Faculty of Education and Teachers Training School have been studying children’s learning environments for decades. The evolving Finnish teacher training system will be introduced into the living and learning environment for children at the ISN Nakano Campus.
FTTSJ will provide training sessions and workshops for staff, parents, and community members, with the aim of creating a better and more meaningful presence for the community as well as for ISN’s other campuses.
The Nakano campus, where the FTTSJ project will take place, will provide a safe and secure environment for children during regular childcare hours, just like ISN’s other campuses. Training and programs will include IB and will aim to improve the awareness, skills and knowledge of us adults involved in childcare.
