サバンナ・アドベンチャー第3週へようこそ！
これまでの旅は、笑いあり、学びあり、新しいつながりに満ちた素晴らしいものでした。第3週に突入した今も、友達や先生たちとの時間を楽しみながら、毎日新しい発見を続けています。これからの冒険も楽しみです！

We are delving deeper into our Unit of Inquiry, which revolves around the topic of Family. This week, we talked about the different types of families. During the prior knowledge assessment, the kids were not sure what different types of families were. They knew that when there is a dad, mom, and kid, it was a family, but then, some of them said that without one member, it is not a family. We used many materials to help them understand more about family. We read the book: Who’s in the family, which contains different types of families like Mixed families, single-parent families, conventional families, and many more. We also watched the video: My family, your family, which contains the same topic. After that, we had an assessment where they judged if the picture they were holding was a family or not. The assessment went well, and they were even saying: “Without a dad, it’s okay.” “Two mommies are okay, it is still a family,” and more.
私たちは「家族」をテーマにした探究単元を、より深く掘り下げています。今週は、様々な家族の形について話し合いました。事前知識を知るための話し合いでは、子ども達は様々な家族の形がどのようなものかよく分かっていませんでした。お父さん、お母さん、そして子どもがいれば家族だということは分かっていましたが、そのうちの誰か一人が欠けたら家族ではない、と言う子もいました。私たちは、子どもたちが家族についてより深く理解できるよう、様々な教材を使いました。『Who’s in the family（家族は誰？）』という絵本には、肌の色が違う家族、ひとり親家族、離れて暮らす家族など、様々な家族の形が紹介されています。また、同じテーマの『My family, your family（私の家族、あなたの家族）』というビデオも視聴してから、子どもたちが持っている絵が家族かどうかを判定するアクティビティも行いました。子ども達からは、「お父さんがいなくても大丈夫」「お母さんが二人いても大丈夫、それでも家族だよ」などと、様々な意見が聞かれました。
Our Phonics was full of fun. They love singing the jump our word and try to remember the spelling and how it looks to memorize. They play with them during their workstation time and try to score as many as they can.
フォニックスの授業はとても楽しく、子ども達も大好きです。特に「ジャンプ・アワー・ワード」の歌がお気に入りで、スペルや字の並びを覚えようと頑張っています。ワークステーションの時間には、フォニックスで遊び、できるだけ多くの点数を取ろうとしています。
We will start working on our family book next week, and we can’t wait to collaborate with our family to come up with a very beautiful one.
