Hello Everyone!こんにちは、みなさん！
Almost everything we did this week was the very first of our every activities.今週行った事は、ほぼ今年度初めてのことばかりでした。
We had our first Unit of Inquiry of our Theme, Who We Are with the Central Idea, We can be the same and different which comes with our Line of Inquiry 1, Our bodies are different from others. We got to know the meaning of “The same” and “Different” before we dug further into our lesson by sorting out the photos with the same pictures of fruits and different ones. We went on to say, “These are the same” and “These are different”今週からは、IBレッスンもはじまりました。初めてのテーマは、”who We Are”です。セントラルアイディアは、”We can be the same and different “で、Line of Inquiry 1は、” Our bodies are different from others. “になります。このテーマを探究する前に、”同じ”と”違い”という言葉の意味を学び、また確認する為に、同じ果物の写真を載せたものと、違う果物を載せたものを分類する活動をしました。“These are the same” と “These are different”というフレーズを練習しながら活動しました。
We had a pre-assessment activity by looking at our face on the mirror and color the face parts on the paper according to the color that we have seen on the mirror. This was very interesting because although they looked closely to their face on the mirror, they colored the face parts green, yellow, blue. Please bear with us, this is just our first week of our UOI 😊.どのくらいの知識が探究前に子供達にあるのかを知る為に、鏡に自分を映し、鏡に映った自分の顔を色塗りしました。しっかりと自分を鏡に映して見ているはずなのに、黄色、緑色、青色などなどいろいろな色を使い塗っている子供が多く、とても興味深い仕上がりになりました。まだ始まったばかりです！この様な結果も愛らしいですね！
Another activity that we did was the body parts puzzles. This was a great activity for us to identify each body part and place the pieces where they go. The body parts puzzles include eyes, nose, mouth, head, arm, leg, chest and belly, hand and foot. Before we started doing the said activity, we sang “This Is Me” song. We sang this when we were in Meadow/ Rainbow that’s why we kind of remember the lyrics of the song.もう一つの活動は、The body parts puzzlesです。こちらはとても良いアクティビティとなりました。顔、身体の名前を確認しながら、このボディパーツパズル🧩を仕上げました。パズルは目、鼻、口、頭、腕、脚、胸、お腹、手、足を含みます。このパズルをする前、“This Is Me”という歌を歌いました。この歌は、ナーサリーの時に皆んなが歌った曲でしたので、思い出しながら楽しく歌えました。
Our first phrase, “Can I have a ball, please?” We learned this phrase through a song. We have three choices of ball colors (red, yellow, and blue) and we chose the color we like and said, Can I have a red/yellow/blue ball, please? Yes, everyone in class could say this phrase. Bravo 👏 フレーズレッスンでは、“Can I have a ball, please?”を今週とりあげ、このフレーズの練習を行いました。まず歌に合わせてこのフレーズを覚え、赤、青、黄色のボールを選択してCan I have a red/yellow/blue ball, please? を練習しました。クラス全員が言えていました！
Our first Mathematics, we arranged the numbers 1-5 according to order and we counted the number of cookies and picked out the number that corresponds to the number of cookies. We loved to actively engage to this activity by giving the number of cookies that Ms. Marlyn asked.初めての数のレッスンでは、1から5までの数を取り上げました。皆んなの好きなクッキー🍪に例え、数字に合わせた数のマグネットを数えました。さすがはオーロラさん！数と数字を見事に一致させる事ができました。皆んな意欲的に活動に取り組んでいました。
Our first Gym Class was full of physical activities that provide for us with an outlet for burning our endless supply of energy. We benefit emotionally, physically, and cognitively when we are active and having a good time.初めてのジムレッスンもありました。沢山の体力作りに繋がる活動をし、子供達の尽きないエナジーを燃焼してきました！感情的にも、体力的にも、そして子供達の知識にも繋がる活動を楽しみました。
And we didn’t want to miss the park as well. そして、大好きなパークにも出かけて楽しみました。
