The weather was perfect for outdoor gathering and hang around to appreciate the wonderful of nature. Therefore, Aurora kids had their lunch outside of the school this week. Each kid enjoyed the lunchbox very much and would like to say “Thank you very much” to our dear parent who made them. It was really nice to see different lunchboxes and the parents love being displayed in their foods. Let’s do it again Aurora!

今週私たちは、バストリップへ出かけるかわりに、園庭でピクニック🌷をしました。お天気にも恵まれたので園庭で思いっきりみんなで遊び、そして何よりも子どもたちが楽しみにしている🍱お弁当💗をみんなでシートを敷いてみんなで円になり食べました。遊んでいる間も…「お弁当はいつ食べるの🤩？」「まだ？」と何度も何度も聞いてくれて、とっても楽しみな様子でした！！
🤩朝早くから子どもたちのためにお弁当を作ってくださり、本当にありがとうございました。子どもたちはとってもとっても喜んで嬉しそうに美味しい！と食べていました🍱💗
The UOI activities this week revolved around us and people around us in the school community. First, we did the handprints on the worksheet. Our hands were put into the water color and touch on the worksheet. After that, we carefully observe our handprints and count them. We asked “How many fingers do you have?” and the kids count them and told us “I have 10 fingers” with confidence. This helped Aurora in counting and aware of their body part. Besides that, we have measured our hands length through blocks. After they have measured by blocks, they answered “My hand is (number) blocks long. Lastly, they exchanged the worksheet with their friends and compared with them. Each of them found the differences in their friend’s handprints and this allowed them to know about their friends more.

探究の流れ2：自分自身と私の周りの人たち
今週のUOIレッスンの活動は、先週から引き続き探求の流れ2「私たちと私の周りの人たち」について探究を進めています。今週最初のレッスンでは、自分たちの手形を作成しました。両手のてのひらに絵の具をつけ、ワークシートに手形を押していきます。絵の具が乾くのを待ち、午後の時間に自分の手形を観察していきました。午前中に作成したクラスのみんなの手形を見て…さて、自分の手形がどれかわかるかな…？？同じだけど…でも違うよね…子どもたちは興味深げに見ています。そのあと、それぞれが自分の手形をよく見ながら、先生が質問していきます。「指はどれ？」「何本ありますか？」子どもたちは数えていきます。そして、「I have _____ fingers.」のフレーズを声に出してみました。次に先生は、みんなの手の大きさはどのくらいなんだろう？と質問し、みんなで小さな四角いブロックを使って手の大きさをそれぞれ測ってみることにしました。ブロックを自分の手形の上にのせて測り終わると「My hand is ______ blocks long . 」というフレーズを使って表現してみました。最後に周りのお友達と手形を交換し、自分の手の大きさと違うのか同じなのか…手をのせて合わせ、比べてみました。「同じ！」や「大きい！」などのアイデアがでて、お友達についても知ることができました🤩そして、「It’s Okey to be different.」という絵本を読みました。みんな違ってもいいんだよ。あなたらしさが良いんだよ。ということもまたこの探究で感じてほしいと思います。
Next is probably our kids favorite activity, we learned about our and their friends favorite toys! Thank you to the parents who sent us the picture of their kid’s favorite toys. Each of them first paste their toys in the worksheet and they were amazed by looking at each other’s toys, they were curious and want to know more about their friend’s. Therefore, we had a “Show and Tell” session after this. Each kid had the chance to stood at the front of the class, show their favorite toys to everyone and present it by saying “My favorite toy is___________, thank you!” All of them did a great job on show and tell their favorite toys, we also did a little quiz to ask what was his friend’s favorite toys after the presentation. It was fun and interesting to know about our friend’s favorite stuffs right? See you all again!
今週最後のUOIレッスンでは、子どもたちのお気に入りのおもちゃの紹介です。私たちは、クラスのお友達のお気に入りのおもちゃについて学びました。
まずは、おうちから送っていただた写真を子どもたちがそれぞれワークシートに貼り付けていきます。そして、先生が一人ずつ回り、どんなおもちゃが好きなのか子どもたちに質問して、その答えをワークシートに記入していきました。みんなお気に入りのおもちゃを嬉しそうに伝えてくれました🤩そして、周りのお友達のお気に入りのおもちゃにも興味が湧いてきました✨まずは、先生と一緒に「My Favorite toy is ＿＿＿＿.」の練習をしました。そして、いよいよ「Show＆Tell」の時間です🤩みんなステージに上り、自分のお気に入りのおもちゃの写真を持って発表しました。みんなの前でお話をすることはとても緊張します。でも、みんなとってもよく頑張りました！！終わった後、すごく嬉しそうにやり切った自信の表情が見えました。また、お友達が一生懸命に発表をすることを聞く姿勢も大切にしていきたいです。
発表が終わった後、お友達の好きなおもちゃは何だったかな？とクイズをしました。お友達の好きなものを知るのはとっても面白く楽しかったね。自分と同じものが好きだったり、違ったり、クラスの仲間の好きなものが知れてとても素敵な「Show＆Tell」でした。Good job！ Aurora🤩
