Hello everyone!
We had another big week here in Rainbow class. We did some crafts outside in the nice weather, played with water, went back to our gym lesson, and started learning about sea animals!
今週のレインボーさんは屋外でクラフトをしたり、水遊び、ジムレッスン、海の生物を学んだりして楽しみました！
Crafts outside
Since the weather has been so nice lately, we decided to have some fun crafts time outside. The crafts were going to get messy, so the kids were allowed to go outside without their pants on! We had a big piece of paper laid down on the ground. We painted their hands in order to make handprints. They were able to freely walk around putting their prints wherever they wanted. Of course, they also wanted to use their feet! It was so much fun! After we were done, we used the hose outside to clean our hands and feet before playing outside for a bit.
週の前半はとても天気が良かったので、屋外でクラフトをしました。汚れることはわかっていたので、ズボンは履かずに模造紙に手形をつけていきました。最初は手が緑色になってカッパみたいと楽しんでいましたが、気がつくと足にも絵の具をつけて紙の上を歩き回っていました。この紙はこれからみんなで作品に仕上げていきます。
Gym lesson
It was time for our bi-weekly gym lesson this week! The kids are always excited about taking the bus together. There is so many things we can spy on the way!
For this week’s lesson, we continued to practice our gross motor skills by stepping over the obstacles on the mat. We also did the penguin walk, where the kids have to stand on the teacher feet and walk together. We finished the lesson with everybody’s favorite exercise, the trampoline!
今週はジムレッスンのある週でした。みんなでバスに乗って、バスから見える景色に大興奮でした。レッスンでは運動能力を高めるために障害物をまたいで歩いたり、ジャンプして越えていきました。その他にもペンギンウォークと言って、先生の足に乗って先生とペンペン歩きをしました。最後はみんなが大好きなトランポリン！
Park
We also had a lot of fun at the park this week. Th kids were very fascinated by all the ants in the park. There is a tree with some big roots next to the playground. Under those root, deep underground, is an ant colony. Its very interesting seeing the small holes in the ground and all the ants coming in and out of them. I was surprised that we didn’t have anyone scared at all!
今週もまた公園で楽しい時間を過ごしました。公園のはじの方には大きな木の根っこがあり、そこにはアリの巣がありました。ありが巣の中に入っていく姿や、出てくる姿を見てとても興味深そうに眺めていました。ありを捕まえて見せてくれる子もいて、怖くないのだなとびっくりしました。
June’s topic (Sea animals)
June is going to be all about sea animals! We started the topic by learning the names of the animals from the song “A sailor went to sea”. Of course, we have also been singing the song together in class. Please sing it together at home when you have time!
6月は海の中の生物について学びます。クラスの中で歌っている。“A sailor went to sea”という曲からsea animalsの名前を覚えていきます。お家でも歌ってみて下さいね！
