Hello everyone and thank you for joining the sports festival this week! We had so much fun and spent time bonding with our kids in all kinds of exercises. As the title suggested, we have started our UOI 2 this month! Our central idea is “People and animals help each other to live”. We started by asking them about the habitats: Savannah, Sea and Farm, then the kids took an animal and paste on the habitat base on their prior knowledge, it turned out to be great as most of them knew about their selected animals and where they lived. This week, we have learned more about the animals such as one of their habitats: The Savannah. We first watched the videos about how is it like in Savannah and asked questions like “What do you see in Savannah?”, “What animals live there?”, “How is the environment like in Savannah?”. Then we introduced the wild animals (suggested by the kids) to them and their names. To apply what we have learned and seen from the videos, we asked the kids to draw the animals on the Savannah pictures. Each of them were very creative and showed us various kind of animals they knew in Savannah.

今週の長野キャンパススポーツフェスティバルにご参加いただきありがとうございました。子どもたちと一緒にタイダイ染めをしたクラス旗を先頭に少し緊張しながらもワクワクでスタートしたスポーツフェスティバル🏀かっこよく走るオーロラパウパトロールになったり、おうちの人と一緒にチームワークで行ったレース🏃でした。とても暑い日でしたが、おうちのみなさまには、子どもたちと一緒に競技に参加して下さり、ご協力していただき本当にありがとうございました！！
今週から私たちは、新しいユニットをスタートしました。
教科の枠を超えたテーマ：地球の共有 －動物－
中心的なアイデア：人と動物は互いに助け合って生きている
探究の流れ1：動物の種類
探究の流れ1では、サバンナ、海、農場に住む動物について学んでいきます。今週最初のレッスンでは、子どもたちがレッスンを始める前に子どもたちにどのくらいの知識があるのかを評価する事前知識評価を行いました。一人ずつ順番に前に出て動物の絵カードを引き、引いたカードの動物が何かを認識し、サバンナ/海/農場のそれぞれの生息地に貼り付けていきました。子どもたちの一連の活動の様子を観察し、理解度を把握して次回からのレッスンを進めていきます。
今週２回目のUOIのレッスンでは、サバンナに住む動物について学び始めました最初にみんなでサバンナに住む動物の映像を見ました。「サバンナとは？」「サバンナはどこ？」サバンナの映像を見ながら、「何が見える？」「どんな動物かがいる？」「サバンナの環境はどうだろう？」など子どもたちと、映像をみながらざまざま質問をしてみました。先生が用意したサバンナに住む野生動物の絵カードを使いながら、どんな動物がいたのかをみんなでもう一度振り返りをしました。そして、レッスンの最後に、サバンナのポスターにクレヨンを使いサバンナの動物をみんなで描いていきました🤩それぞれみんなクリエイティブで、サバンナのさまざまな動物たちを見せてくれました。
It is the new week and new phonic lesson! This week we learned about the letter “I”! Each of the kids showed great interest as we learned about the words with I such as insects, igloo, ink, iguana, ice cream and etc. Their writing of I was great and they put efforts in writing nicely, Good Job!
今週のフォニックスレッスンは、「I」です。Iのフォニックスの音をしっかりみんなで練習して、「I」から始まる単語を導入していきました。「昆虫／イグルー/インク/イグアナ/アイスクリーム」などです。子どもたちは、それぞれとても興味を持ってくれました🤩２回目のレッスンでは、「I」のライティングです。鉛筆の持ち方をしっかり確認して、丁寧にゆっくり書き順を確認しながら、「Ｉ」の文字をなぞっていきます。
We also went to the gym this week, we did some activities on the mat got ourselves really excited. Our favorite was definitely jumping over obstacles and walking like a train with friends (everyone loves to be the captain to lead the way).
今週は、ジムレッスンへ行ってきました。３０分のレッスンの時間の中で様々なマット運動をテンポよくしていきます。準備体操をしてから、先生のデモンストレーションをよく見て、次は子どもたちの挑戦です。バランスを取りジャンプをしながらマットの端から端まで飛び跳ねて行ったり、障害物をマットに置き、その間を踏まないように駆け足で進みます。難易度を変えながら挑戦していきます。二人ペアになり電車のように歩いて行きます。みんなよく集中して、取り組めていてとってもかっこよかったです🤩体幹がしっかりしてきて、飛び跳ねる脚力もたくましくなってきているなと感じます。
Our monthly phrases for this month is “What is this/that?” and the reply will be “This/That is a___.” We are practicing the phrases everyday at school and please do practice these phrases at home with kids too! The monthly song is “Ponyo”, it was a famous anime and the kids love it very much.
今月のマンスリーフレーズは、「これは何ですか？/あれは何ですか？/これは、○○です。/あれは、○○です。」になります。毎日、モーニングサークルの中で、歌に乗せてこのフレーズを練習しています🤩
今月のマンスリーソングは、「崖の上のポニョ」です🐡オーロラのみんなはこの歌が大好きです。外部レッスンへ行くバスの中では、毎回「ポニョー！」のリクエストがあり、みんなで歌いながらいくんですよ🤩子どもたちに大人気です。
