Hello everyone! 🤗 Aurora class has become more interested in learning about transportation. We have experienced making transportation crafts, playing with 3D cardboard transportation toys, and saw transportations outside the classroom like trains, cars, and trucks. This time, we explored transportation through watching videos. We would like them to see other transportations that we couldn’t see outside the classroom, especially sea transportations.
みなさん、こんにちは。 オーロラクラスは、乗り物について学ぶことにどんどん興味がわいています。 乗り物のクラフトを作ったり、段ボールの乗り物オモチャで遊んだり、教室の外では電車や車、トラックなどの乗り物を見つけたりしました。 今回は動画を見ながら乗り物について探求しました。 屋外でも見ることができない乗り物、特に海の乗り物を見てもらいたいと思いました。
The class voted to watch and learn about jetski and police cars! Aurora was very amazed at how the man in the video rides in a jetski. We also learned about the parts of the jetski and safety gear in using it. Our other goal was to be inquirers. Before we watched the police car video, Aurora tried to think of questions about police cars with the help of the teacher like: Who can use the police car? When they catch someone, where will they go? They also compared the police car to jetski through a question like: Who can blow the whistle? When the engine stops, who can help them? I think the police car is big, the engine is big too. What interesting questions!🤩 We are inquirers!🤔 As we watched the video, we were able to answer some of them, and they really enjoyed it and wanted to continue the discovery about police cars. They even said that they wanted to be a police officer when they grow up!🤩
クラスでの投票の結果、ジェットスキーとパトカーについて見て学ぶことになりました! 子ども達は、ビデオの中の男性がジェットスキーに乗っている様子にとても驚きました。 また、ジェットスキーの部品とそれを使用する際の安全装置についても学びました。 私達のもう一つの目標は、「探求する人」になることです。 パトカーのビデオを見る前には、先生の助けを借りながら、英語でパトカーについての質問（疑問）を考えました。” Who can use the police car? (パトカーを運転するのは誰？”” When they catch someone, where will they go? (悪い人を捕まえたらどこに行くの？）などです。 彼らはまた、パトカーとジェットスキーを比較しながら ”Who can blow the whistle? When the engine stops, who can help them? （もし、パトカーのエンジンが止まってしまったら、誰が笛を吹いて助けを呼ぶの？そして警察官は誰に助けてもらうの？ ）”や “I think the police car is big, the engine is big too（パトカーが大きいから、エンジンも大きいと思うよ）” など・・ なんて面白い質問なんでしょう! 正に探究者です! ビデオを通して、いくつかの質問の答えを知ることができました。 大きくなったら警察官になりたいとまで言ってくれました。
Videos can bring the outside world to students, introducing different cultures, new places and ideas. They provide a great way to integrate new content and language learning at the same time – giving students the opportunity to learn about a whole range of subjects and ideas, at the same time as learning English.
Last time, Aurora made an origami airplane and Name train. On Monday they made an origami boat. One of them was as curious as George, and wanted to know if the boat they made would float in the water. So, they tried to put it in the water, but unfortunately the origami paper was so thin and couldn’t last long in the water so it broke. That’s an interesting inquiry!👏
動画は子ども達を外の世界を誘い、様々な文化、新しい場所、アイデアを紹介してくれます。 新しいコンテンツと言語学習を同時に統合する優れた教材になります。子ども達は英語を学習すると同時に、あらゆる範囲の話題やアイデアを学ぶ機会を得ることができます。
前回、オーロラ達は、折り紙飛行機とネームトレインを作りました。 月曜日には折り紙のボートを作りました。 そのうちの 1 人は（おさるの）ジョージと同じくらい好奇心旺盛で、自分が作ったボートが水に浮かぶかどうかを知りたくて、水につけてみたのですが、残念ながら折り紙が薄くて（船底が）壊れてしまいました。 （でも）それは興味深い探究ですね!
Our week will not be complete without outdoor activities. We challenged ourselves to make ice outside and made a「Aurora Ice Museum」 in our class. Everyone was curious about it, and they were worried about it, but it slowly melted in the warm sunshine, and the museum turned into a 「Aurora water museum」 in the afternoon. And we had fun at the gym exercises and enjoyed playing at the park and schoolyard. Snowy Friday excited them most because they were able to play snowball fights and collect snow with their friends.☃️
私たちの 1 週間は、野外活動なしでは終わりません。 月曜日は、外で氷作りに挑戦しクラス内に「オーロラ氷博物館」を作りました。みんな気になって心配して観察していましたが、暖かい日差しにゆっくり溶けて午後には博物館は「オーロラ水の博物館」になっていました。また、体育館で体操をしたり、公園や校庭で遊んだりしました。 雪の金曜日は、友達と雪合戦をしたり、雪を集めたりすることができたので、大興奮でした！
