CHARACTERISTICS OF TRANSPORTATION（乗り物の特徴）- Canyon Feb. 3rd-7th

Greetings!

As we continue our presentation in UOI, the second batch shared what type of vehicle they have at home and how many wheels it has. It’s good to see our youngsters gaining more confidence in presenting in front of the class. Well done!

みなさん、こんにちは！

家にある乗り物についてのアンケートをもとに、残り半分のCanyonさん達もプレゼンテーションをしました。家にある車の種類、タイヤがいくつあるなど、先生の質問に答えながらみんなの前で発表しました。クラスの前で発表することに、みんな自信をつけている様子がわかりました！

This week, we celebrated the Setsubon Festival at school. The students learned the meaning of each color of the Oni Monsters and watched a video on how to throw away the monster. They did their best to defeat the monster, and they did it! To end the festival, they learned that having the demons in our minds and hearts makes us weak, lazy, and unlovable. So, we promised not to welcome the demons anymore as we share and embrace happiness, love, and a positive mindset.

今週、スクールで節分のお祝いをしました。他のクラスの子たちも一緒に集まり、鬼の色の意味や、どうやって鬼を退治するかをビデオで学びました。ビデオの中の鬼さんもなかなか怖い！自分たちで作ったお面をかぶり、新聞ボールを持って準備していると、ついに赤鬼がやってきました！大きな声で、”Demons out！（鬼は外！）”と言いながら鬼に新聞ボールを思い切り投げる子、勇気をだして遠くから投げる子、先生の後ろに隠れて鬼がいなくなるのをじっと待つ子、色々な戦い方をしましたが、みんな泣かずに鬼退治をすることが出来ました！最後に、鬼は実は私たちの心の中にいることを学びました。怠けたい気持ち、甘えたい気持ち、ふざけてしまう気持ち、それらを自分たちの中から追い払いました。

MATSUMOTO AIRPORT

As we continue our LOI1, we had a chance to visit Matsumoto Airport and determine whether an airplane is fast or slow, big or small, and what color it is. It was really a wonderful experience!

先週の行事でしたが、松本空港に行って飛行機を見てきました！飛行機は速いのか遅いのか、大きいか小さいか、色は何色かなどを知ることが出来ました。目の前で飛行機が飛び立つところが見れて、みんな大喜び！見えなくなるまで手を振っていました。

After that, our little ones had a great time playing at the park! They played as if they had a shop, jumping, climbing, and running around the park.

空港で飛行機を見たり、空港内を見学した後は、近くの公園に移動し遊具で遊んできました。お友達と一緒に走ったり、探索したり、木の実を使ってお店屋さんを開いたりと大忙し。もう一度、飛行機が飛び立つことを音で気が付いた子どもたち。I can hear! Look, airplane!など、知っている英語を使って、お友達や先生に教えてくれました。
