Hello Everyone,こんにちは、皆様！

This week, Shooting Star class has got into another engaging learning activities. First, we made a reflection of our visit to the fire station last week through class discussion, worksheet checklist and drawing. Then, we made a thank you card for firefighters. We also had an excursion to the police station. The police officer welcomed us warmly and led us to a huge room where we gathered together and she began to distribute the brochure and explained to us the content, mainly, the jobs of police officers. Then, she showed us the tools she uses and showed us the animated video. After that, students got the chance to ask questions. The officer was so amazed with the ability of students asking questions in English. Students had a wonderful time chatting with the officer. Finally, the police officer guided us through the parking area to show us the police car and other vehicles and guess what? The officer granted our wish to get in the police car. After the visit, we carried out a reflection again through class discussion and worksheet checklist.

今週も様々な活動を行いました。まず、先週の社会科見学の振り返りを、クラスディスカッョンやワークシートを通して行いました。その後は恒例の、もしも。。。です！「もしも消防署や消防士がいなかったら、、、」をテーマに子ども達が絵を描きました。そしてお世話になった消防署の方々へ、Thank youカードを書きました。今週の社会科見学は、警察署でした。警察官が建物の中を案内してくださり、警察のお仕事について冊子を見ながらお話してくださいました。また、必ず携帯している、なくてはならない道具も見せてくれました。子どもにも分かりやすい防犯についてのDVDを見せてくれ、さらに子ども達は安全に過ごすことの大切さや安全に生活するために自分たちはどうするべきなのかをより良く学びました。質問タイムには、事前に準備していた質問をはっきりと大きな声ですることができました。担当の方は、子ども達の英語にとても驚いていました。最後に、パトカーを見せてくれました。なんと、乗車もさせてくれました！一人ずつ中に乗り込み、運転席に座れたお友達もいました！帰園してから、クラスディスカッションとワークシートで振り返りを行いました。

We had Phonics lesson and we learned the -um word family; gum, yum, sum, drum, and plum. Students were tasked to complete the matching worksheet activity and everyone did it perfectly.

今週のフォニックスレッスンでは、＿umファミリーを学びました。gum, yum, sum, drum, plum、などです。ワークシートもとても良くでき、単語と絵を完璧にマッチングさせることができました。

Since our Music Concert is taking place next month, we devoted time practicing pianica in the afternoon. Students got better in playing their pianica. Well done, Shooting Star. Thank you dear parents for practicing them at home as well.

ミュージックコンサートを二週間後に控えています。毎日午後に練習を頑張っています。日に日に上達が見られます。お家での練習、ありがとうございます。引き続き宜しくお願いします。今週は音大生の西村先生の娘さんが練習をお手伝いしてくれました！まりの先生、ありがとうございました！
