Today, we had a special guest visit our school to share her knowledge about rocks and gemstones with the children.
It was a fun and engaging experience for everyone! The students enjoyed searching for different types of rocks in a sand pile prepared by the teacher, giving them a hands-on activity that felt like real rock hunting in nature. They also learned about various kinds of mineral rocks and their unique features. The children had the opportunity to observe, touch, and compare the differences between each rock — including discovering which ones glowed when lit with a torchlight. A big thank you to one of our class parents for generously coming in and sharing this wonderful learning experience with us!

本日、特別なゲストが来校し、子どもたちに岩石や宝石に関する知識を分かち合ってくださいました。
とても楽しく、子どもたちにとって学びの多い時間となりました！先生が準備した砂の山の中からさまざまな種類の石を探す活動では、まるで自然の中で本物のロックハンティングをしているような体験ができました。また、いろいろな鉱物の種類や特徴についても学びました。子どもたちは、石を観察したり、実際に触れてその違いを感じたり、懐中電灯を当てると光る石を見つけたりと、貴重な体験をすることができました。
このような素晴らしい学びの機会を提供してくださった保護者の方に、心より感謝申し上げます。

In addition to that, we also began planting morning glories just outside our classroom.
This activity connects to our current learning unit, and it provides the children with an opportunity to demonstrate responsibility by caring for their own plants.

そのほかにも、教室の外に朝顔の種を植える活動を始めました。
これは現在の学習ユニットと関連しており、子どもたちが植物を育てることで「責任を持つこと」の大切さを学ぶ良い機会となっています。

Recently, we’ve noticed that the children are becoming more responsible and actively engaged in their learning.
It’s a wonderful sign that they are settling into the school routine and taking more ownership of their roles and responsibilities in the classroom.

最近では、子どもたちが以前にも増して責任感を持ち、学習にも積極的に取り組む様子が見られるようになってきました。
学校の生活リズムや、教室での自分の役割に慣れてきた証拠であり、非常に嬉しい成長のサインです。
