Summer Fun is in Full Splash at Savanna! ☀️💦
The summer sun may be blazing, but at Savanna, we’re turning up the fun and turning down the heat—with water play! Instead of being bothered by the scorching weather, we see it as the perfect excuse to get wet, get silly, and make a splash!
Last week, we dipped into our first pool play session of the season! Some little ones approached the water with wide eyes and cautious toes, while our bold risk-takers dove right into the fun, some even daring to dip their faces in! 🌊💙
This year, our pool is a bit smaller than before, but that didn’t stop us from finding new ways to turn up the joy. Enter: the sprinkler and the water fountain! This week, we introduced these exciting additions—and just like that, giggles echoed, and tiny feet danced through sprays of cool water.
夏の太陽が照りつける毎日ですが、Savannaさんは水遊びで楽しさ倍増！暑さもへっちゃらです。
じっと我慢するのではなく、「びしょぬれになって、思いきりはしゃいで、思い出を作るチャンス！」と前向きに楽しんでいます。
水遊びは、涼しくなるだけでなく、笑顔や友情、夏ならではの楽しい経験を育んでくれています。
先週、今シーズン初めてのプール遊びを楽しみました！
ちょっぴり緊張しながら恐るおそる水に近づく子もいれば、思いきり頭から水を浴びるチャレンジャーも🌊💙！
それぞれのペースで水とふれあい、笑顔があふれる楽しいひとときとなりました。
今年のプールは少し小さめですが、それでも楽しさは無限大！
そこで登場したのが、スプリンクラーと噴水シャワーです！
新しい水あそびアイテムに、子どもたちは大喜び。
冷たい水しぶきの中、笑い声が響きわたり、小さな足が元気いっぱいにステップを踏んでいました♪

Our young explorers are showing us what it means to be brave and joyful, even under the hottest sun.
笑顔があふれ、笑い声はまわりに広がり、そして子どもたちの勇気には心を打たれます。
暑い太陽の下でも、子どもたちは「楽しむこと」「挑戦すること」の大切さを全身で教えてくれています。
その姿は、私たち大人にも元気と感動を与えてくれます。

Back in the classroom, curiosity is bubbling just as much as it is in the pool! Our little explorers have taken on a new adventure—uncovering the answer to a big and important question: What is a community?
During our unit introduction, one curious inquirer asked a question that lit a spark in the whole group, setting the stage for our journey into understanding what makes a community special.
To begin our discovery, we sang the song “Community”—a catchy tune that not only defined the word but also showed how people work together to help one another. After a few joyful sing-alongs (and a lot of enthusiastic dancing!), the meaning started to click!
プールでのワクワクが冷めやらぬ中、教室でも子どもたちの好奇心がどんどんふくらんでいます！
サバンナさん達が今回挑むのは、「コミュニティってなに？」という大きな問いへの冒険です。
ユニットの始まりに、ある子の何気ない質問がクラスみんなの心に火をつけました。「コミュニティって何が特別なんだろう？」というテーマへの探究が始まったのです。
探究の第一歩として、みんなで “Community” という歌を歌いました♪
このキャッチーな歌は、「コミュニティ」の意味を教えてくれるだけでなく、人と人が助け合っている様子も伝えてくれます。
何度か楽しく歌ったり、元気いっぱいにダンスをしたりしているうちに、子どもたちの中でも少しずつ意味がつかめてきたようです。
But we didn’t stop there. With excitement in our eyes, we launched Google Earth and zoomed into our very own town, Matsumoto! 🌏 The children were amazed as they explored familiar places from above: hospitals, fire stations, homes, schools, and more. The “aha!” moments were priceless!
でも、それだけでは終わりませんでした！✨
子どもたちの目がキラキラと輝く中、Google Earth を使って、私たちの町 松本市 をズームイン！🌏
上から見える病院や消防署、おうちや学校など、見慣れた場所がどんどん出てきて、みんな大興奮！
「あっ！ここ知ってる！」「あそこ行ったことある！」という声があちこちから聞こえ、発見の喜びにあふれた “aha!” の瞬間がたくさん生まれました。

The smiles were bright, the energy was high, and the pride in our little athletes was simply overflowing. They couldn’t wait to show off their growing strength, flexibility, and the gymnastic skills they’ve been working so hard on. Watching them shine with confidence was the highlight of our day!

And guess what? The excitement doesn’t stop here—our Sports Festival is just around the corner! As we continue to practice and perfect each move, we can’t wait to show you everything we’ve learned.

子どもたちの笑顔はキラキラ輝き、エネルギーにあふれた一日となりました！
小さなアスリートたちは、自分たちの頑張りや成長を見てもらえるのが嬉しくて仕方がなかったようです。
力強さや柔軟性、そしてこれまで練習してきた体操の技を自信いっぱいに披露する姿に、私たちも胸がいっぱいになりました。
子どもたちの輝く瞬間を、共に見守ってくださりありがとうございました。
いつも温かく見守り、応援してくださっているからこそ、子どもたちは安心してチャレンジを続けられています。
そしてなんと…！
このワクワクはまだまだ続きます――スポーツフェスティバルが、いよいよ近づいてきました！🎉
日々の練習の中で、一つひとつの動きを少しずつ磨きながら、本番に向けて頑張っています。
これまでの成長を、皆さまにお見せできるのが今からとても楽しみです！
当日は、子どもたちの元気な動きとチームワーク、そして何よりも楽しむ気持ちがあふれる一日となりそうです。
