Beep! Beep! Our Shooting Star students visited the fire station and it was an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone! They met two gentlemen who are working in the fire station who toured them inside the ambulance and around the fire trucks. They discovered many tools the firefighters use in helping and saving peoples’ lives in case of fire. Two of the students got to try lying down on the stretchers from the ambulance and fire truck. They also had a chance to wear the firefighters’ jacket, helmet, and air tanks. Seeing the firefighters’ tools and equipment up close and being able to touch them was such a great experience for Shooting Star. It was a day full of discoveries because they were able to learn what firefighters’ job is and the questions in their minds were answered by the firefighters. 🧑🚒🚒
ビービー！ビービー！シューティングスターさんたちは消防署を訪れ、とても楽しく、思い出に残る体験をしました！
消防署で働くお二人の消防士さんに出会い、救急車の中や消防車のまわりを案内してもらいました。火事のときに人々の命を助けるために使うたくさんの道具を見せてもらいました。
救急車や消防車にあるストレッチャーに実際に横になってみた子も2人いて、また、消防士のジャケット、ヘルメット、空気タンクも着用する体験ができました。
消防士の道具や装備を間近で見て、実際に触れることができたのは、とても素晴らしい経験でした。
消防士さんたちの仕事について学び、気になっていた質問にも答えてもらうことができたので、発見がいっぱいの一日となりました。🧑🚒🚒
Since we are learning about the community helpers, we decided to change the classroom environment and set up a play area related to UOI. Shooting Star chose to make an ice cream shop because they remembered the day when they went to Aeon mall and craved ice cream. We learned who the people work in an ice cream shop and what their job is. Ice cream vendors are the term we used to refer to the people who sell ice cream from a truck or cart to people in the neighborhood or public places. Ice cream scooper or ice cream server works in an ice cream shop to serve ice cream to the customers. They made ice cream toys using newspaper balls and we will paint them next week. We also set up a fire station/fire truck wherein students can pretend to be firefighters. We also have a hospital area wherein students can play the role of doctors and patients. Everybody enjoys dressing up as community helpers during our free play time. “I’m a doctor. I’m a police officer. I’m a firefighter.”🧑🚒🧑⚕️👮
地域の中で助けてくれる人たち（コミュニティヘルパー）について学んでいるので、シューティングスタークラスでは教室の環境を変えて、UOI（探究の時間）に関連した遊びのエリアを作ることにしました。
シューティングスターさんたちは以前イオンモールに行ったときにアイスクリーム屋さんを見て、アイスが食べたくなったことを思い出し、「アイスクリームショップ」を作ることに決めました。アイスクリームショップで働く人について学び、どんなお仕事をしているのかを知りました。
「アイスクリームベンダー」は、近所や公園などの公共の場でトラックやカートを使ってアイスクリームを売る人たちのことをいいます。お店の中でお客さんにアイスクリームをサーブする人は「アイスクリームスクーパー」または「アイスクリームサーバー」と呼ばれます。
子どもたちは新聞紙でアイスクリームのおもちゃを作り、来週はそれに絵の具で色を塗る予定です。
また、消防署／消防車のエリアも設置し、子どもたちは消防士になりきって遊べるようにしています。さらに、病院のエリアもあり、お医者さんや患者さんになりきって遊ぶことができます。
自由遊びの時間には、みんな「コミュニティヘルパー」になって楽しんでいます。
「ぼくはお医者さん！」「わたしは警察官！」「ぼくは消防士だよ！」🧑🚒🧑⚕️👮♀️
Our phonics lesson was really fun too because after practicing reading CVC /eg/ words family, we played a CVC words basketball game. Both groups were so competitive in showing what they learned. Everyone enjoyed the game and showed that learning can always be fun.🧺🏀
フォニックスのレッスンもとても楽しい時間になりました！
CVC（子音-母音-子音）/eg/ワードファミリーの読み方を練習したあと、「CVCワード・バスケットボールゲーム」をして遊びながら復習しました。2つのグループに分かれ、とても真剣に、そして楽しそうに学んだことを発表しながら競い合いました。
ゲームを通して、みんなが「学ぶことは楽しい！」ということを実感してくれたようです。🧺🏀
