Hello Everyone! 

We kick-started Summer School 2025 with a blast. This week was loaded with fun, fun, fun. In Rainbow class we incorporated new activities in our play so kids would experience something different everyday. We sang and dance to new and old favorite songs. We tried some summer treats and played with summer toys. Checkout what fun we had this week.

サマースクール2025は最高のスタートを切りました。今週は楽しいこと、楽しいこと、楽しいことと盛りだくさんでした。レインボークラスでは、新しいアクティビティーを遊びの中に取り入れました。新旧の大好きな歌を歌い、踊りました。夏のおやつを試したり、夏のおもちゃで遊んだりしました。今週はどんな楽しいことができたでしょうか。

Day 1 

For Water play / Pool kids played with frozen sea animals 🥶🧊. Everyone got busy fishing them out and naming them. We got octopus🐙, shark🦈, fish  🐠 and more. Then indoors we made our watermelon craft. 

水遊び／プールで子どもたちは、凍った海の動物たち🥶🧊と一緒に遊びました。みんな夢中になって釣り上げ、名前を呼んでいました。タコ🐙、サメ🤠、魚🤠などなど。その後、室内でスイカの工作をしました。

Day 2

For Water play we filled the pool with colorful balls and kids happily collected them. They counted the balls, identified the colors and picked their favorite ones. They also enjoyed catching and popping bubbles🫧🫧 that were floating in the air. At the same time we took the kid’s foot prints for our Summer Sandals craft👣. Indoors kids unwind playing with clay.

水遊びでは、プールにカラフルなボールを入れ、子どもたちは喜んでボールを集めていました。ボールを数え、色を見分け、好きなものを選びました。また、宙に浮いたシャボン玉🫧を捕まえたり、飛ばしたりして楽しみました。同時に、サマーサンダル👣の工作のために、子どもたちの足型を取りました。室内で子どもたちは粘土と遊びリラックス。

Day 3 

On Wednesday before heading to do water play / pool. We did some active play indoors, kids balanced on the beam and crawled under hoops that were propped on chairs. After all the fun indoors we headed to the pool and played with sea animals, the colorful balls and colorful, squishy water balloons that were in the pool. The water balloons were such a hit. 🎈Then once inside the room kids wanted to play with clay and we also made our Ice cream craft. Kids had a blast stamping the ice cream using a potato.They stamped their favorite colors and flavors. We had chocolate, green tea, strawberry and mango flavored ice cream. Yummy! 😋 Too bad they weren’t real ice cream. 😅🍦 but it was fun making them.

水曜日、水遊びやプールに行く前のこと。室内でアクティブな遊びをし、子どもたちは梁の上でバランスをとったり、椅子の上に置かれたフープの下をくぐったりした。室内で楽しんだ後はプールに向かい、海の動物やカラフルなボール、プールの中にあるカラフルでふにゃふにゃの水風船で遊びました。水風船は大人気でした。そして室内に入ると、子どもたちは粘土で遊びたがり、アイスクリームのクラフトも作りました。好きな色やフレーバーをじゃがいもを使ってスタンプしました。チョコレート、抹茶、イチゴ、マンゴー味のアイスクリームを食べました。美味しい！本物のアイスクリームじゃなかったのが残念。でも作るのは楽しかったです😅🍦。

Day 4

As usual we went out to do water play. In the pool new toys were floating about, it was the alphabets! This time Kids went  🔠 ABC fishing. They excitedly showed teachers the letters that they got. Look it’s an A or Z etc. learning while playing is the best activity for this tots. At the same time that day kids got water Yoyo’s🪀. They played endlessly with the yoyo, pulling them up and down, washing them, throwing them, playing with the toy however they can and how they imagined. Once inside the room kids relaxed while playing with clay, At the same time kids finished off their summer sandals craft by placing the straps and their favorite stickers as an accent.

いつものように水遊びに繰り出しました。プールには新しいおもちゃが浮かんでいて、それはアルファベットでした！今回は子どもたちは🔠ABC釣りをしました！ 子どもたちは興奮気味に、手に入れたアルファベットを先生たちに見せてくれました。遊びながら学ぶことは、子どもたちにとって最高のアクティビティです。その日、子どもたちは水ヨーヨー🪀を手に入れました。ヨーヨーを上下に引っ張ったり、洗ったり、投げたり、思い思いにヨーヨーで遊んでいました。部屋の中では粘土遊びをしながらくつろぎ、夏のサンダル工作の仕上げに、ストラップやお気に入りのシールを貼ってアクセントにしました。

Day 5

Started the day with water play / pool outdoors. Indoors, since it’s the last day, and after all the busyness and fun we had all week long. We wanted to chill. For down time we had film showing or movie time. We used the projector. We projected the show onto the white board for cinematic feel in the classroom. Kids were all smiles watching the movie about Patrick and friends, about bugs in a band playing, singing and dancing to music and about train with animals. Came lunch time we had some special treat…we had watermelons 🍉 for dessert. Then during our closing circle we excitedly played with balloons.

この日は屋外で水遊びやプールでスタートしました。最終日で、一週間忙しく楽しんだ後なので、室内で リラックスした時間を過ごしたいと思っていました。ダウンタイムには、映画鑑賞をしました。プロジェクターを使ってホ ワイトボードに映し出し、映画のような雰囲気で上映しました。子どもたちは、パトリックと友だちの話や、バンドを組んで音楽を奏でたり歌ったり踊ったりする虫たちの話、動物と一緒に列車に乗る話などの映画を見て、満面の笑みを浮かべていました。ランチの時間には、デザートにスイカ🍉を食べました。そして、クロージングサークルでは、風船で遊びました。

Whew! What a week full of fun! That’s the first week of our summer school. We had new friends who joined us and we sadly had to say good bye to them. Some stayed for a week, some just a few days. We want to say thank you to our new friends and we will miss you, hope you visit and play with us again. 

We are looking forward to next week and our next group of new friends who will be joining our 2nd week of summer fun!

ふぅー！楽しさいっぱいの1週間でしたね！これがサマースクールの最初の週。新しい友達も加わってくれましたが、お別れをしなければなりませんでした。週間滞在した子もいれば、数日しか滞在しなかった子もいます。新しいお友だちに感謝の気持ちを伝えるとともに、また遊びに来てくれることを願っています。

また来週、2週目の夏の楽しみに参加してくれる新しいお友達を楽しみにしています！

今週は素晴らしい一週間でした。みんな、涼しくしてね！
