Sydney Study Tour Day 4！シドニー滞在4日目は、曇りでのスタートでしたが気温も高くなりすぎず、過ごしやすい日中となりました⛅
午前中は3日目同様、クラスルームにてオーストラリアの歴史や気候変動、絶滅危惧種の動物に関して学び、その知識の定着としてオーストラリア博物館へ向かいます。
と、その前にシドニーで自然あふれる公園として有名な「Hyde Park」の散策も楽しみました！シドニー中心地は都会ですが、その一角に緑あふれる公園があることに驚きながらも進みます。広大な公園内を移動していると、綺麗な教会「St. Mary・シドニーセントメアリー大聖堂」を見つけたりもしました。（小雨が降っていました💦）
公園散策しつつ向かうその目的は・・・
本日のランチ！ランチには、オーストラリアで有名なミートパイに挑戦しました！Mr.Coreyオススメの知る人ぞ知る！ローカルのお店です。
小さな店内でしたが、私たちが到着後お昼近くになると、店内が見えなくなるほど大盛況でした！
ミートパイは、1つが手のひらサイズもあるずっしりと重いもの。ですが、1口食べると丸々1個皆簡単に完食できるほど衝撃的に美味しかったです！！お店には他にもソーセージロールやラミントンなどオーストラリアの名物ペストリーが並んでいました。ここでもISN生徒は自分の食べたいペストリーやスイーツを注文購入していました♪
スナック、お土産はなるべく自分たちでオーダー・支払いできるようにサポートをしていますが、4日目なので注文の仕方など皆何の問題もなく自分で買い物できています。ツアー途中で立ち寄るお土産屋さんでは、家族に買うお土産を皆楽しそうに選ぶ姿がとても微笑ましいです。
実はシドニー到着後1-2日は、まだちらほら日本語で話す生徒もいましたが、徐々に日本語を話す場面が少なくなり、この日聞こえてきた日本語はほぼ０といってもいいと思います！
ツアー4日目なのでそろそろホームシックかどうか聞くと、半数がYes、半数がNoでした！
さて、いよいよオーストラリア博物館へ到着！オーストラリア最古、そして世界でも5番目に古い自然史博物館であり、自然史と人類学の分野で国際的な評価を得ています。なんと文化遺産にも登録されている博物館で、1日かけても見切れないほどの広さと内容です。私たちも限られた時間の中で、館内見学とワークシートを仕上げます📝
ワークシートを解くことが目的ではありませんので、時間があまりない中でも丁寧に学びの定着を目指します🔍
Mr.Coreyから出題されるワークシートも決して簡単なものではありません。毎日が初めての連続、そして学びの量も多いですが皆本当に楽しく学んでくれているのがわかります。オーストラリア博物館では、解説ボランティアさんへ生態の質問をし、真剣に耳を傾けていました。Mr.CoreyやMr.Frankにも解説版に関する質問をして、3日目に学んだオペラハウスに関する表示を見つけると、あ！これ、昨日勉強したことが書いてある！と興奮する姿もみられました。
また、昨夜ボードゲームナイトを開催したおかげか、Deep Diveチームともよく話し、打ち解けているようでした。
たくさん学び、帰るころにはお腹はペコペコ🥢✨

Hi everyone,
Today we studied about climate change, Australian history and extinct animals before we went to the Australian Museum.
The students researched in English about extinct animals and climate impacts in Japan and explained what they found.
We tried Australian pies and sausage rolls for lunch at a famous bakery.
The Australian museum was a large venue showing fossils, taxidermy animals, crystal gems and aboriginal artifacts. Inside the museum, the students were given a worksheet with some questions to answer about sacred treasures of various cultures. They had to explain to everyone, the information they found.
Everyone is doing a great job to keep using English even during a busy day. They thoroughly enjoyed the board game last night and have asked to play again later in the week.

Sydney Study Tour Day 4！
The fourth day in Sydney started out cloudy, so the temperature was not too high, making it a comfortable day.
In the morning, as on the third day, students started their day in the classroom. They learned about Australia’s history and endangered animals, and to consolidate their knowledge, they visited the Australian Museum.
In fact, for the first day or two after their arrival in Sydney, there were still some students who spoke a little Japanese here and there, but the number of occasions when they spoke Japanese gradually decreased, and I think it is fair to say that the amount of Japanese I heard today was almost zero!
The worksheets given by Mr. Corey are not easy. Every day is a series of firsts, and there is a lot to learn, but I can see that everyone is really enjoying learning. At the Australian Museum, they asked ecology-related questions to the volunteers and also asked Mr. Corey and Mr. Frank questions about the information boards in the museum.
The students seemed to talk and get along well with the Deep Dive team, probably thanks to the board game night held last night.
For lunch, we tried the famous Australian meat pie! Mr. Corey recommended this local store. We have been encouraging them to order and pay for snacks and souvenirs by themselves as much as possible.
At the souvenir shop, it is very funny to see them all happily choosing the souvenirs they want to buy for their families. When asked if they were homesick, half said yes and half said no!
