Teamwork improves crucial skills such as communication, problem-solving, and leadership, while also fostering social skills, empathy, and self-esteem. It also helps children build confidence, learn patience and tolerance, and develop resilience by working with groups.
During our time at the outdoor pool, we engaged in some team-building activities first. This time, we played a water relay. The students were divided into two groups, and the first group that filled the bottle faster was the winner. It was good to see them talking to their groupmates and sharing their ideas and strategies on how to win the game. That’s how teamwork works!
チームで活動することは、子どもたちの「コミュニケーション力」や「問題解決力」「リーダーシップ」といった大切な力を育むだけでなく、社会性や思いやり、自尊心を育てるきっかけにもなります。グループで協力することで、自信を持つことや、忍耐や寛容さを学ぶこと、そして困難に立ち向かう力も少しずつ身についていきます。
屋外プールの時間を使って、Rainforestさん達はチームビルディングの一環として「水のリレーゲーム」をしました。子どもたちは2つのグループに分かれ、どちらが早くペットボトルに水をいっぱいにできるかを競いました。どうすれば勝てるか、友だちと声を掛け合ったり、作戦を話し合ったりする姿が見られ、とても素敵でした。まさに「チームワーク」が生きている瞬間でした。
In this week’s phonics lesson, we focused on learning the long vowel teams /e/. The students were asked to share their ideas with words that have the long vowel e: “ee and ea” and write them on the board. We also played a game where each group looked for words in the book with “ee” and “ea.” The group that found the most words was the winner. This game aims to familiarize the students with the lesson, practice how to read words, and build teamwork among each other. Well done!
今週のフォニックスのレッスンでは、「長母音 e（ee と ea）」が入った単語の学習をしました。子どもたちは、「ee」「ea」を使った単語を考えて、みんなの前で発表し、その単語をホワイトボードに書きました。頭の中で考えたり、教室の掲示物をみながら探したりと、みんなたくさんの単語を発表してくれました。その後、グループワークで一冊の本の中から「ee」「ea」を含む単語を探すゲームも行いました。友だちと相談したり、声を掛け合いながら探す姿はとても楽しそうで、まさにチームワークを感じられる時間でした。最も多くの単語を見つけたグループが勝ちです。このゲームを通して、子どもたちはレッスンに慣れ、単語を読む練習をしながら、協力する力も育てています。みんな本当によく頑張りました！
The Sports Festival is just around the corner! As we prepare for the event, our young ones made a cute Pokémon craft. They chose the character they wanted and made its face using colored paper. Here’s a glimpse of how they made it. So cute!
もうすぐスポーツフェスティバルです！子どもたちは、かけっこ、リレー、パフォーマンスの練習だけではなく、年長さんとして司会に挑戦したり、小さなお友達をリードしたりするため、毎日準備に大忙しです。スポーツフェスティバル当日のデコレーションにするため、かわいい「ポケモン」の工作にも挑戦しました。自分の作りたいキャラクターを選び、色紙を使って顔を作りました。見本のイラストを見ながら、自分たちでどんどんとアイディアを出し、かわいいモンスターを作る子どもたち。作っている様子はとても楽しそうで、思わず笑顔になるかわいさです！
