The Sports Festival is finally over! We would like to congratulate our little ones for a job well done! You all did great! You conquered your fear of standing and performing in front of a lot of people. All of your effort and hard work in the preparation throughout this event paid off. We are so proud of you!

子どもたちの頑張りを心から祝福したいと思います。今回のスポーツフェスティバルの目標として、「自分たちのベストを尽くすこと」、「来場する皆さんに笑顔を届けること」を目標に頑張ってきました。この目標通り、本当にみんなよく頑張りましたね！大勢の前に立って発表したり、パフォーマンスをしたりすることへの不安を乗り越え、これまでの練習や準備の努力がすべて実を結びました。Rainforestさん達をとても誇りに思います。
また、当日ご参加いただいた保護者の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。皆さまのご協力のおかげで、このイベントを大成功に終えることができました。思い出に残る素敵な一日になりましたね。本当にありがとうございました。

SPORTS FESTIVAL DAY
This week, we started our “Goal Getter” wall. Our little ones wrote their goals for the day and posted them outside. At the end of the day, we checked each goal one by one to see if they had achieved it, and for those who did, they received a special cute stamp on their paper. Good job!
今週から「Goal Getter（目標達成）」ウォールを始めました。子どもたちは毎日、「先生やお友達の話をよく聞く」、「チームワーク」、「自分のベストを尽くす」、「教室で使う物を大切に使う」などの自分の目標を書いて、クラスの外に貼り出しています。1日の終わりには、その目標が達成できたかどうかを一つひとつ確認し、できた子には特別にかわいいスタンプを押しました。
As we celebrate Grandparents Day, our youngsters made a special card for their beloved Grandma and Grandpa. This celebration is meant to show the strong bond and love between grandparents and grandchildren. As our young ones wrote their messages, they recalled all the things their grandparents have done for them, such as preparing food, making chopsticks, cleaning their house, and taking care of them. Thank you for all your love! It’s very much appreciated.
敬老の日をお祝いして、子どもたちは大好きなおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんに花束が飛び出すポップアップカードを作りました。折り紙を折りたたんでから、はさみで切ってお花の形が出来ると、子どもたちは色々な花の形を作り上げ、お友達と見せ合いながら沢山の花を作りました。ひらがなが上手に書ける子が増えてきたので、日本でメッセージも書きました。子どもたちはカードにメッセージを書きながら、おじいちゃん、おばあちゃんが自分のためにしてくれたことを思い出していました。ご飯を作ってくれること、お箸を作ってくれること、お家をきれいにしてくれること、そしてたくさんのお世話をしてくれること…。「いつもありがとう！」という子どもたちの感謝の気持ちがいっぱい詰まったカードになりました。

リーディングのレッスンは、子どもたちの語彙力や言語力、そして考える力を育て、学習面での力にもつながっていきます。また、物語を通してさまざまな視点や感情にふれることで、想像力や創造性、そして共感する心も育まれます。子どもたちは友達とペアになりお互いのリーディングをチェックしたり、時には助け合ったりしながら本を読むことを楽しんでいます。
