We hope you’re having a fantastic week so far!
It’s been a busy week for Aurora`s, but an exciting time for us as we’ve been preparing and practicing for the Sports Festival. From planning the details to getting everything just right, we’ve had our hands full — but we’ve also had a lot of fun along the way! Stay tuned — we can’t wait to share more with you soon.
This week, we had a special treat during our exploration of Line of Inquiry 2: How people and animals are connected and help each other. A guest speaker visited us — and they didn’t come alone! They brought along their adorable and incredibly sweet dog, Ram. We are incredibly grateful to the parents who supported our learning journey — your encouragement means the world to us. A special thank you for letting us meet your adorable dog; it brought so much joy to our day!
We’re also thankful to our friends who generously shared their frogs and lizards — what a fun and fascinating experience it was to learn up close.
Once again, a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who made this experience so memorable!
Ram instantly stole our hearts with his gentle nature and soft fur. We had the chance to feed him and spend a little time connecting with him — and it was a truly heartwarming experience. Two Shooting Star students also introduced their own pets, sharing stories and showing just how special the bond between humans and animals can be, as well as how they care for and feed them.
Through this experience, we began to see more clearly how animals can provide emotional support. Ram helped us feel calm, joyful, and loved — reminding us of the unique ways animals enrich our lives, and frogs gave us intense feelings and scared us.
みなさん、こんにちは！ 今週も素晴らしい日々を過ごしていることでしょう！ オーロラさんは忙しい一週間でしたが、スポーツフェスティバルの準備と練習に励むワクワクする時間でした。細かな計画から万全の準備まで、大忙しでしたが、その過程でたくさんの楽しみもありました！続報をお楽しみに——すぐに皆さんにもっとお伝えできるのが待ちきれません。 今週は、探究テーマ2「人と動物のつながり、助け合い」の学習中に特別なサプライズがありました。ゲストスピーカーが来校してくれたのです——しかも一人ではありませんでした！愛らしくてとっても優しいワンちゃん、ラム君を連れてきてくれたのです。私たちの学びの旅を支えてくださった保護者の皆様に心から感謝しています——皆さんの励ましは私たちにとってかけがえのないものです。愛らしいワンちゃんに会わせてくださり、心から感謝します。私たちの1日をとても楽しいものにしてくれました！ また、カエルやトカゲを快く見せてくれたお友達にも感謝しています。間近で観察する体験は、本当に楽しくて興味深いものでした。 この思い出深い体験を可能にしてくださった皆様に、改めて心からの感謝を申し上げます！
ラム君は優しい性格と柔らかな毛並みで、たちまち私たちの心を奪いました。餌をあげたり少しの間触れ合ったりする機会を得ていただき、心温まる体験となりました。シューティングスターの2人のお友達も自身のペットを紹介し、人間と動物の絆がいかに特別であるか、またどのように世話をし餌を与えているかを物語と共に見せてくれました。
この経験を通じて、動物がどのように感情的な支えを与えてくれるかがより明確に見えてきました。ラム君は私たちに落ち着きと喜び、そして愛されている感覚をもたらし——動物が私たちの生活を豊かにする独特の方法を思い出させてくれました。一方、カエルは鋭い感情を呼び起こし、怖さを感じさせてしくれました。
What an unforgettable day! We had our very first field trip — together with our friends from Shooting Star — to Suzaka Zoo, and it was nothing short of amazing. The excitement was high from the moment we arrived, and the entire day was filled with fun, laughter, and learning. We began our adventure by visiting the farm animals. The children were thrilled to see goats, a donkey, ducks, geese, chickens, reindeer, sheep, horses, quail, and so much more up close. It was a great opportunity to connect with animals we often only read about! As we continued exploring, we encountered some of the zoo’s wild and exotic animals — including a tiger, a bear, an eagle, and even a kangaroo! But one of the biggest highlights? The penguins! The kids couldn’t get enough of their adorable waddling and playful dives. If it were up to them, we would have stayed there all day! Although we had to move on to see more animals, the joy on everyone’s faces said it all — it was truly a fantastic and memorable day. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure!
なんていう忘れられない一日だったことでしょう！シューティングスターのお友達と一緒に初めてのフィールドトリップで須坂動物園へ行き、それはまさに素晴らしい体験でした。到着した瞬間から興奮が高まり、一日中楽しみと笑い、学びに満ちていました。私たちの冒険は農場の動物たちを訪れることから始まりました。ヤギ、ロバ、アヒル、ガチョウ、ニワトリ、トナカイ、ヒツジ、ウマ、ウズラなど、間近で見られる動物たちに子どもたちは大興奮。普段本でしか読めない動物たちと触れ合える貴重な機会でした！探検を続けると、トラ、クマ、ワシ、カンガルーなど、動物園の野生で珍しい動物たちにも出会いました。でも一番のハイライトは？ペンギンたちです！みんなは、愛らしいよちよち歩きや遊び心あふれる飛び込みに夢中でした。子供たち次第なら、一日中そこにいたでしょう！他の動物を見るために移動しなければならなかったものの、皆の顔に浮かんだ喜びが全てを物語っていました——本当に素晴らしく、忘れられない一日でした。次の冒険が今から待ち遠しいです！
This week’s Music lesson was all about sharpening our listening skills in a fun and interactive way! We explored rhythm and coordination using four brightly colored boards. As the music played, our teacher would call out a color, and we had to quickly tap the matching board in time with the beat. It was a lively and exciting activity that helped us tune into both sound and movement. Everyone had a great time, and we can’t wait to do it again!
今週のミュージックレッスンは、楽しくやり取りできるな方法で聴く力を磨くことに重点を置きました！鮮やかな色のボード4枚を使ってリズムと協調性を探求しました。音楽が流れる中、先生が色を呼びかけると、みんなでビートに合わせて素早く対応するボードを叩きました。音と動きの両方に集中する活気あふれる楽しい活動でした。みんなとても楽しんだので、またやるのが待ちきれません！
