Firstly, a BIG shout-out to our birthday girl! Happy 4th Birthday! We had a magic show with wonderful surprises during our ISN monthly birthday party.

UOI: Flowers, Bees and Honey

Our inquiries led us to wonder. Where do we get honey? Who makes honey for us? Cows? NO. They give us milk. Bees love flowers because of the sweet nectar in flowers. With sweet nectar, bees make honey. Small insects like bees help us make food. Bees give us honey!

キャニオンさん達の興味は尽きません。どこから蜂蜜はくるの？誰が蜂蜜を作ってくれるの？牛？違うよね！牛は牛乳。蜂はお花が大好き。お花にはおいしい蜜があるからだね。この甘い蜜で、蜂は蜂蜜を通っているんだよね。小さな昆虫も私たちを助けてくれること、蜂が蜂蜜を提供してくれていることを学びました。

We reviewed how animals and insects help us with a matching activity. We even tasted honey – honey on bread for our afternoon snack. SwEEEEEEt!

ワークシートを使い、どの動物が何を提供してくれているかのマッチングゲームをしました。そして、蜂蜜を午後のおやつの時間にパンにつけて試食してみました。あまーい！と言う声がクラスに響きました！

Shapes & Gym

Canyon worked on their shapes with squares. We found squares on our honey bread, square on biscuits, windows and presents! In the gym, Canyon pretended to be different animals. They stretched, crawled and roared!

四角を使ってシェイプの練習をしました。ハニーブレッドを試食するときのパンは正方形、四角いビスケット、窓枠やギフトボックスも！とたくさんのシェイプを見つけました。ジムレッスンでは、色々な動物になり切り歩いてみました。身体を伸ばして歩いたり、ハイハイしたり、ガオーと言ってみたり？！と楽しみました。

Earthquake & Fire Drill

ISN was in for a treat when Matsumoto Fire Bureau visited! Firefighters came with their bright red fire truck. We had an evacuation drill. The firefighters reminded us about what to do. The teachers practised using the fire extinguishers too. Canyon was able to see up close the equipment in the fire truck.

松本渚消防署がISNに来ました！消防士さん達が、真っ赤に輝く大きな消防車に乗ってきました！毎月恒例の避難訓練を消防士さん達と一緒に行いました。消防士さんが、避難するときにはどうしたらいいのか、とても丁寧に教えてくれました。そして、先生たちは、消火器の使い方を学び、実際に消化活動（コーンを火に見立て）をしました。キャニオンさん達は消防車の近くで実際に使われる道具を見る機会を頂きました！
