As we reflect on this unit, Waterfall students are taking advantage of their knowledge and showing how curious they are about animals and nature by playing with lots of different animal puzzles, toys, games plants and real live insects from the garden or farm. Students really get to see first hand that people and animals are Sharing the Planet!

このユニットのまとめとして、Waterfallクラスの子どもたちは、これまでに学んだことを活かしながら、動物や自然への興味・関心をたっぷりと発揮しています。動物のパズルやおもちゃ、ゲーム、植物、そして庭や畑にいる本物の虫たちと関わりながら、実際に「人と動物が地球を分かち合って生きている」ということを体感しています。

Student also enjoyed some playtime in the cool weather helping each other find balance and tackle fun, new skills!

心地よい秋の風の中では、お友だちと助け合ったりシェアしながら、「ポックリ」にも挑戦しました！

Waterfall students wrapped up this unit by picking their top 4 animals and giving them a home in the sky, on land or in water. They thought about their animal’s features, like fur, scales or feathers and other interesting information they learned to make their posters.  Student are eager to share what they know about the animals that they have chosen and are each taking turns with show and tell!

ユニットの最後には、自分の好きな4つの動物を選び、それぞれが「空・陸・水」のどこに住んでいるのかを考えながらポスターを作りました。毛やうろこ、羽などの特徴や学んだことを思い出しながら、一生懸命に表現しています。子どもたちは、自分の選んだ動物についてお話しするのをとても楽しみにしており、show and Tellの時間に順番に発表をしています。

Finally, Waterfall Class welcomed 2 new friends to the classroom! They joined in as Waterfall and Canyon teamed up to harvest some big and heavy sweet potatoes from the farm and a picnic in the park.

また、Waterfallクラスには新しいお友だちが2人仲間入りしました！バス遠足ではCanyonクラスと一緒に出掛け、畑で大きく育ったさつまいもを掘り、お外でのピクニックも楽しみました♪これからよろしくね！
