Waterfall started off this week on the right track, and went on a bit of a journey to explore some of the forms of transportation. They took the bus to the train station, rode the train one station, walked to a park and rode the bus back to ISN!  They even learned how to use tickets by themselves. 

ウォーターフォールクラスは、今週とても良いスタートを切り、さまざまなのりものを探究する小さな旅に出かけました。
バスに乗って駅へ行き、電車で一駅移動し、公園まで歩き、そして再びバスに乗ってISNへ戻りました。
子どもたちは、切符を自分で使う体験もすることができました。

In this unit students will learn all about transportation, on land, sea and air! Waterfall started by putting some ground transport on the IB Wall and learning the names of several vehicles. Show and Tell will also be all about transportation. We have a busy couple of months and lots to learn, so each student can bring 1 show and tell item per week! Students can collect stickers until the end of the year for their Bus Cards on the IB Wall.

このユニットでは、陸・海・空ののりものについて学んでいきます。
ウォーターフォールクラスはまず、陸ののりものをIBウォールに貼り、いくつかの乗りものの名前を覚えるところからスタートしました。
Show and Tellものりものがテーマになります。こどもたちは早速お気に入りの乗りもののおもちゃや絵本などを紹介してくれています♪これから数か月は学びが盛りだくさんのため、Show and Tellは週に1人１つというルールで続けていきます。
子どもたちは、IBウォールにあるバスカードに、年度末までShow and Tellのご褒美ステッカーを集めていきます。

They enjoyed a bit of play time in the snow after bundling up. Put on your warmest hats, gloves and snow boots or snow suits, so everyone can enjoy the snowy weather!

しっかり防寒をしたあとは、雪の中での自由遊びも楽しみました。
暖かい帽子や手袋、スノーブーツやスノーウェアを身につけて、みんなで冬ならではの雪遊びを満喫しました。

Setsubun is on its way so students colored scary demon masks for the holiday and the upcoming celebration. They practiced a little cutting, too, and made sharp horns for their masks.

また、節分が近づいてきたので、行事に向けてこわい鬼のお面作りにも取り組みました。
少しハサミの練習もしながら、とがった角のある迫力満点の鬼のお面が完成しつつあります。
