みなさん、こんにちは！

今週は参観日と節分というビックイベントが重なった今週、子ども達は期待に胸を弾ませて、ちょっぴり興奮気味でした。参観日には大好きなママやパパが来てくれること、そして自分の頑張りがママやパパを笑顔にし、幸せにできることを子ども達は既に知っていました。

Hello everyone!

This week, two big events, Open Day and Setsubun, coincided, and the children were filled with anticipation and a little excitement. Our children already knew that their beloved moms and dads would be visiting on Open Day, and that their hard work would make their moms and dads smile and be happy.

参観日当日は元気な挨拶から始まり、出欠確認の際には大きな声で”I am here！”と答えました。ア～～イム・ヒアー！！と溜めて溜めて周囲を驚かせるような大きな声で答えるのが、最近のレインボー達の流行りです。（笑）　　こうして始まった参観日の朝の会、いつものようにテーブル毎にチームになって、お天気確認、クラスルール、一日のスケジュール、イングリッシュフレーズを発表し、全員で確認し合いました。それぞれが勇気を出し、胸を張って立派にやってくれました。子ども達がマーリン先生の話をよく聞き、英語の指示を理解していることもご覧頂けたと思います。

The day of the open day began with a lively greeting, and when attendance was confirmed, our children answered loudly, “I am here!”. It’s become a trend among the Rainbows recently to build up a “Aaaa iii mmm Here!” voice before answering loud enough to surprise those around them. Thus began the morning meeting on the open day, with each table splitting into teams as usual, and everyone sharing the weather, class rules, daily schedule, and English phrases. Everyone was brave and proud and did an excellent job. We think you could see that the children were listening carefully to Ms. Merlyn and understanding the English instructions.

おやつの後のクラスアクティビティーでは、「節分の日」にちなんで豆入れBOXを作りました。クラフト活動は子ども達の微細運動能力を高め、脳を刺激します。それにも増して、保護者の皆さんと一緒に作るクラフトは子ども達の心に大きく作用して、制作の楽しさをより格別なものにしていました。レインボーの教室内は、想像力豊かに協力して作品を仕上げる家族の笑顔と活気に溢れていました。

For the class activity after snack, our children made bean boxes in honor of Setsubun with their parents. Craft activities improve children’s fine motor skills and stimulate their brains. What’s more, making crafts together with their parents had a profound effect on the children’s minds, making the experience even more enjoyable. Rainbow’s classroom was filled with the smiles and energy of families as they worked together imaginatively to complete their creations.

今回は今年度最後の参観日でした。想像すること、考えること、思いやること、知りたいの思う心など、この一年余りの間に彼らが獲得したものが、身体的な成長や英語力だけではないことを確信して頂ける良き日であったなら幸いです。勿論、その成長の根底にご家庭での愛情や支え、応援があることは言うまでもありません。これからも皆様と一緒に子ども達を応援し、彼らの成長を共に喜びたいと思っています。改めまして、この度はお忙しい中、参観日にご参加下さり、ありがとうございました。

This was the last open day of this school year. We hope it was a wonderful day where you could see for yourself that what the children have acquired over the past year is not just physical growth and English ability; it includes the ability to imagine, think, be considerate, and have a desire to learn. Of course, it goes without saying that the love, support, and encouragement at home are at the root of this growth. We hope to continue supporting the children together with you and share in their growth. Once again, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend this open day.

参観日の午後に、突然怖い鬼がやってきました！！（大人の私達が見ても本当に怖かったです・・）逃げ惑う子、泣き叫ぶ子、果敢に闘おうと豆を投げる子、反応は様々でした。鬼は外！福は内！鬼は退散していきました。いよいよ「春」がやってきます。子ども達が次のステージに進む準備もできています！

On the afternoon of Open Day, a scary Oni demon suddenly appeared! (Even we adults found it really scary!) There were various reactions from children, some running away, some crying, and some bravely throwing beans to fight back. Out with the demon! In with the good fortune! The Oni demon retreated. Spring is finally here, and the children are ready to move on to the next stage!

今週はジムレッスンやミュージックレッスンの他、トレーシングや公園遊びも楽しみました。ペンの持ち方、体の動かし方など、楽しみながら学んでいます。

This week, in addition to gym and music lessons, our children also enjoyed tracing and playing in the park. They are having fun while learning how to hold a pen and how to move their bodies.
