Welcome to our very last blog as preschoolers!Time flew by very fast.It’s hard to believe that in just a few weeks , we will aready be grade ones!! What began as a year filled with new faces, curiosity, and small steps has grown into a journey of confidence, friendships, and many proud achievements.
Early on in the week, the whole school came together to give our graduates a heartfelt farewell party. It was a beautiful reminder of the strong sense of community our school holds. Each of the three classes thoughtfully prepared gifts, lovingly made with craft materials, as well as a group photo taken with the Rainbow class. Since April last year, Milky Way has been escorting the Rainbow students to the music room every month for the birthday parties. We hope that when they look at the framed photo they were gifted, they will fondly remember these moments. The care and effort behind each creation made them truly meaningful keepsakes for our students.
プリスクール生として迎える、最後のブログへようこそ。
時間が本当にあっという間に過ぎていきました。あと数週間で、子どもたちはもう1年生になります。信じられない気持ちです。
新しい出会いや好奇心、小さな一歩から始まった一年は、自信や友情、そしてたくさんの誇らしい成長に満ちた歩みへとつながっていきました。
週のはじめには、園全体で卒園生のためのお別れパーティーが行われました。ISNが大切にしている、温かく強いコミュニティのつながりを改めて感じる、素敵な時間となりました。
3つのクラスそれぞれが、心を込めて手作りしたクラフトのプレゼントを用意し、Rainbowクラスとは一緒に集合写真も撮影しました。
昨年4月から、Milky Wayの子どもたちは毎月のお誕生日会の際に、Rainbowクラスのお友だちを音楽室まで案内してきました。今回プレゼントした写真立てに入った集合写真を見て、そんな思い出を懐かしく思い出してもらえたら嬉しいです。
一つひとつの作品に込められた思いや工夫が、子どもたちにとって本当に大切な記念品となりました。
One of the most touching moments of the day was the farewell tunnel. As our graduates walked through, surrounded by cheering friends and teachers, it was a powerful symbol of honor, celebration, and the journey they are about to continue. There were smiles, laughter, and a few teary eyes as everyone recognized just how much these children have grown.
この日の中でも、特に心に残る場面のひとつが「フェアウェル・トンネル」でした。卒園生たちは、先生やお友だちの温かい拍手と声援に包まれながらトンネルを歩きました。それは、これまでの歩みを称え、これから続く新しい旅立ちを祝福する、象徴的なひとときでした。
その場には、たくさんの笑顔と笑い声、そして少しの涙もありました。子どもたちがどれほど大きく成長したのかを、みんなが改めて実感する瞬間となりました。
The following day, we continued our celebrations with a joyful pancake party alongside the Shooting Star class. It was a wonderful opportunity for the younger students to connect with the graduates, sharing food, laughter, and excitement. Moments like these help build lasting bonds and create a sense of continuity within our school community.
翌日は、Shooting Starクラスのお友だちと一緒に、楽しいパンケーキパーティーを行いました。年下の子どもたちが卒園生と交流しながら、食事や笑顔、わくわくした時間を共有できる、素敵な機会となりました。
このようなひとときは、学年を越えたつながりを育み、ISNコミュニティの中に継続性や温かい絆を生み出してくれます。
As a special farewell moment, I introduced the kids to my country’s traditional instrument;the mbira. They were all fascinated by it and even tried to play the “Happy Birthday” tune on it.
特別なお別れのひとときとして、私（Ms. Amanda）の国の伝統楽器であるムビラを子どもたちに紹介しました。子どもたちはとても興味を示し、実際に音を鳴らして、Happy Birthday to Youのメロディーに挑戦する姿も見られました。
After the graduation ceremony, we said both goodbye and congratulations. Watching our students stand tall, full of pride and accomplishment, was incredibly moving. Each child has grown in their own unique way;academically, socially, and emotionally. They all achieved so much!While it is always difficult to say goodbye, we know this is not an end, but the beginning of a new chapter. Our graduates leave us with strong foundations, cherished memories, and the confidence to take on new challenges ahead.
卒園式の後には、「さようなら」と「おめでとう」を伝えました。誇りと達成感に満ちた表情で、堂々と立つ子どもたちの姿は、本当に胸を打つものでした。
一人ひとりが、それぞれのペースで、学習面・社会性・情緒面のすべてにおいて大きく成長してきました。子どもたちは、本当にたくさんのことを成し遂げました。
お別れはいつも少し寂しいものですが、これは終わりではなく、新しい章の始まりだと感じています。
卒園生たちは、しっかりとした土台と大切な思い出、そしてこれからの新しい挑戦に立ち向かう自信を胸に、次のステージへと旅立っていきます。
The Milky Way students ran a good race and we are so proud of how far they have come. Next step is ‘big kid school’ and we know you will do great things there!!A special thank you goes to the parents and guardians for their unwavering support throughout the year.

Milky Wayの子どもたちは、最後まで本当によく頑張りました。ここまで歩んできた成長の大きさを、私たちはとても誇りに思っています。
次はいよいよ「ビッグキッズスクール」、つまり小学校です。きっとそこで、たくさんの素晴らしいことを成し遂げてくれると信じています。
また、一年を通して変わらぬご支援をくださった保護者の皆さまにも、心より感謝申し上げます。
