As the culmination of our unit, students worked collaboratively on their “Prepared and Protect Project” by creating a weather forecast program called WindWave News. In their presentations, students took on the roles of meteorologists, newscasters, and safety preparedness officers to share important information about extreme weather, disaster preparedness, and safety tips creatively and engagingly.

Students filmed their weather forecast presentation. This project allowed students to apply their understanding in a meaningful real-world context while developing their communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

We are proud of the creativity, teamwork, and knowledge our Grade 5 students demonstrated throughout this exciting unit conclusion.

単元のまとめとして、児童たちは協力して「Prepared and Protect Project」に取り組み、「WindWave News」という天気予報番組を制作しました。発表では、児童たちが気象予報士、ニュースキャスター、防災担当者などの役割を担い、異常気象や災害への備え、安全対策について、創造的で分かりやすく伝えました。

また、児童たちは天気予報のプレゼンテーションを撮影しました。このプロジェクトを通して、児童たちは学んだ内容を実生活に結び付けながら活用し、コミュニケーション力、協働力、そして発表力を高めることができました。

Grade 5の児童たちが、この単元の締めくくりを通して見せてくれた創造力、チームワーク、そして知識を、私たちはとても誇りに思っています。

The weather this week was perfect, so we enjoyed the sunshine and nature while playing outside or just chatting with friends. The wind was cool which was perfect for us to sit under the tree and admire the beauty of nature.

今週はとても気持ちの良い天気だったので、子どもたちは太陽の光や自然を楽しみながら外で遊んだり、友達とおしゃべりをしたりして過ごしました。涼しい風も吹いていて、木陰に座りながら自然の美しさをゆっくり感じるのにぴったりの時間となりました。
