“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
The Rainforest class was recently put to the test to see if teamwork really makes the dream work!
During the recent Inquiry Fair held at Gojo Campus, the Rainforest class, together with students from Milky Way (Minami Campus) and Grade 1 to Middle School, proudly showcased the outcomes of their learning journey.

先日、Rainforestクラスの子どもたちは、「チームワークで本当に目標を達成できるのか」を実際に試す機会を得ました。
五常キャンパスで開催された**Inquiry Fair（探究発表会）**では、南松本キャンパスのMilky Wayクラス、そして小学1年生から中学生までの児童・生徒とともに、自分たちの学びの成果を発表しました。
For the Rainforest class, this event was more than simply presenting what they had learned during Unit of Inquiry 1: Sharing the Planet. It was an opportunity to put into practice the lessons from Unit of Inquiry 2: How We Organize Ourselves, where they are currently exploring the central idea:
“Teamwork enables people to achieve common goals.”
To successfully run their booth, the students organized themselves into two teams, each with a shared goal and clear responsibilities.
Rainforestクラスにとって、このイベントは**Unit of Inquiry 1「Sharing the Planet（地球を共有する）」で学んだことを発表するだけではありませんでした。現在探究中のUnit of Inquiry 2「How We Organize Ourselves（私たちはどのように組織するのか）」**で探究している中心概念、
「チームワークは、人々が共通の目標を達成することを可能にする。」
を実践する貴重な機会でもありました。
発表ブースを成功させるために、子どもたちは共通の目標を持つ2つのチームに分かれ、それぞれが役割を分担して活動しました。
🌍 Smart Pack Challenge TeamThe first team invited parents and visitors to participate in the Smart Pack Challenge. Participants selected an item from the mystery box and decided whether it would help reduce waste or not.
Every member had an important role to play:Greeter – welcomed the participants and explained the activity.
Assessor – checked whether the participant’s answer was correct.
Supporter – explained why the answer was correct by connecting it to what they had learned about the 3Rs.
Encourager – thanked the participants and encouraged them to continue reducing waste and helping save our planet.
Each student discovered that the activity could only run smoothly when everyone fulfilled their responsibility and supported one another.

最初のチームは、保護者や来場者にSmart Pack Challengeへ参加していただきました。
参加者は「ミステリーボックス」の中から1つの物を選び、それがごみを減らすことにつながるものかどうかを考えて答えました。
子どもたちは、それぞれ大切な役割を担当しました。
- Greeter（案内係）
参加者を歓迎し、活動内容を説明しました。 - Assessor（確認係）
参加者の答えが正しいかどうかを確認しました。 - Supporter（説明係）
3R（Reduce・Reuse・Recycle）について学んだことをもとに、なぜその答えが正しいのかを説明しました。 - Encourager（応援係）
参加してくださった方へ感謝を伝え、これからもごみを減らし、地球を守る行動を続けてほしいと呼びかけました。
子どもたちは、一人ひとりが自分の役割を果たし、お互いに支え合うことで初めて活動がスムーズに進むことを実感しました。
💭 Wonder Wall Question Team
The second team brought back one of the students’ favorite parts of Unit 1—their Wonder Wall.
Throughout the unit, the children had asked many thoughtful questions about caring for our Earth. During the Inquiry Fair, parents were invited to pick a question from the Wonder Box and read it aloud. The students then shared what they had discovered through their inquiry.
This team also demonstrated excellent teamwork by taking on different responsibilities:
Greeter – welcomed visitors and introduced the activity.
Knowledge Expert – confidently answered the questions using what they had learned throughout the unit.
Encourager – thanked the parents for participating and encouraged everyone to continue making choices that help protect our planet.
💭 Wonder Wall Question チーム
もう一つのチームでは、Unit 1で子どもたちに大人気だったWonder Wallを再び行いました。
Unit 1では、子どもたちは地球を大切にすることについて、たくさんの素敵な疑問を考えました。
Inquiry Fairでは、保護者の方にWonder Boxから質問を1つ引いて読んでいただき、子どもたちは探究を通して学んだことをもとに答えました。
このチームでも、それぞれが役割を分担し、協力して活動しました。

来場者を歓迎し、活動内容を紹介しました。
Knowledge Expert（説明係）
Unitを通して学んだことをもとに、自信を持って質問に答えました。
Encourager（応援係）
保護者の皆さまへ感謝を伝え、これからも地球を守るための行動を続けていこうと呼びかけました。
Learning Beyond the Classroom
The Inquiry Fair became a wonderful example of how learning connects across units. While the children proudly shared their understanding of the 3Rs and how our choices affect the environment, they were also practicing the skills of working together, communicating effectively, and fulfilling their individual responsibilities within a team.
By trusting one another, supporting one another, and working toward a common goal, the Rainforest class showed that teamwork truly makes the dream work.
We are incredibly proud of every Rainforest student for confidently sharing their learning with our families and guests. More importantly, we are proud that the Inquiry Fair reflected not only what they had learned, but also how they learned—through inquiry, collaboration, and teamwork.
教室を越えて広がる学び
今回のInquiry Fairは、それぞれのUnitでの学びがどのようにつながっているかを示す素晴らしい機会となりました。
子どもたちは、3Rや私たちの選択が環境に与える影響について理解を深めたことを発表するだけでなく、
- 仲間と協力すること
- 相手に伝わるようにコミュニケーションを取ること
- チームの中で自分の役割と責任を果たすこと
といった力も実践を通して身につけていました。
互いを信頼し、支え合い、共通の目標に向かって協力することで、Rainforestクラスの子どもたちは**「チームワークが夢をかなえる」**ことを見事に示してくれました。
私たちは、Rainforestクラスの子どもたち一人ひとりが、自信を持って保護者や来場者の皆さまに学びを伝えられたことを大変誇りに思っています。
そして何よりも、このInquiry Fairは、**「何を学んだか」だけではなく、「どのように学んだか」**を表す場となりました。
子どもたちは、**探究（Inquiry）、協働（Collaboration）、そしてチームワーク（Teamwork）**を通して学びを深め、その成長を存分に発揮してくれました。
