Hello everyone!
Our Summer Program has been off to a fantastic start, with exciting days filled with laughter, exploration, and meaningful learning experiences. The Rainbow children were delighted to spend time with their Aurora friends, creating wonderful memories as they learned and played together.
みなさん、こんにちは！
私たちのサマープログラムは素晴らしいスタートを切りました。笑い声や新しい発見、そして有意義な学びに満ちた、ワクワクするような日々が続いています。「レインボー」クラスの子どもたちは、「オーロラ」クラスの友達と一緒に過ごせることをとても喜び、一緒に学び、遊びながら、素敵な思い出を作っています。
Day 1
We began our week with a fun-filled daily water play session, where the Aurora and Rainbow classes splashed, stomped in the pool, played with water balloons, and happily chased bubbles. Through these joyful activities, the children strengthened their communication and social skills as they practiced sharing, taking turns, and building friendships with one another.
今週は、毎日行われる楽しい水遊びの時間から始まりました。オーロラクラスとレインボークラスの子どもたちは、プールで水をはねさせたり、水の中を踏み鳴らしたり、水風船で遊んだり、楽しそうにシャボン玉を追いかけたりしました。こうした楽しい活動を通じて、子どもたちは「分け合うこと」や「順番を待つこと」を実践し、互いに友情を育むことで、コミュニケーション能力や社会性を高めました。
Day 2
On the second day, the excitement continued as we enjoyed an even longer water play session. The children had great fun playing with the water balloon yo-yos and exploring new pool toys alongside their Aurora friends. These shared experiences encouraged cooperation, patience, and confidence while fostering positive social interactions. We ended the morning with clay play, where the children used their imaginations to create different animals, foods, and other unique creations. This hands-on activity helped strengthen their fine motor skills, creativity, and concentration.
2日目も、さらに長い水遊びの時間を楽しみ、盛り上がりは続きました。子どもたちは、水風船ヨーヨーで遊んだり、オーロラの仲間たちと一緒に新しいプールのおもちゃを試したりして、大いに楽しみました。こうした共に過ごす体験は、協調性、思いやり、自信を育むとともに、豊かな社会性を養うきっかけとなりました。午前中は粘土遊びで締めくくりました。子どもたちは想像力を働かせて、さまざまな動物や食べ物、その他ユニークな作品を作りました。この手を動かす活動は、微細モータースキル、創造力、そして集中力を高めるのに役立ちました。
Day 3
The third day brought another wonderful opportunity to learn alongside our Aurora friends. The Rainbow children looked forward to their daily playtime together, enjoying the kindness and care shown by the older children. Afterwards, we created colourful jellyfish crafts using straws and yarn. Threading the small straw pieces was a little challenging for our little hands, but the children showed perseverance, curiosity, and determination as they carefully completed their artwork.
3日目も、オーロラの友達と一緒に学ぶ素晴らしい機会となりました。レインボーの子どもたちは、毎日一緒に遊ぶ時間を心待ちにし、年上の子どもたちから示される優しさや気遣いを楽しく感じていました。その後、ストローと毛糸を使って色鮮やかなクラゲを作りました。小さなストローの切れ端を通す作業は、小さな手には少し難しかったようですが、子どもたちは粘り強さと好奇心、そして真剣な姿勢を見せながら、丁寧に作品を完成させました。
Day 4
On the fourth day, we shared even more fun and laughter during water play before returning to one of the children’s favourite activities—clay play! Using their imagination, they carefully molded the clay into animals, foods, and many other creative designs. It was a joy to see each child’s unique ideas come to life while developing their creativity, hand strength, and fine motor skills.
4日目には、水遊びでさらに楽しいひとときを過ごし、笑い声が絶えませんでした。その後、子どもたちが大好きなアクティビティの一つである粘土遊びに再び取り組みました！子どもたちは想像力を働かせ、粘土を丁寧にこねて、動物や食べ物、その他さまざまな独創的な作品を作り上げました。一人ひとりのユニークなアイデアが形になり、創造力や手の力、微細モータースキルが育まれていく様子を見るのは、本当に嬉しいことでした。
Day 5
What an exciting day it was! Since the upper classes were away on their field trip, the Rainbow and Aurora children enjoyed an extra-long water play session together.
The children had a wonderful time splashing, communicating, and playing alongside their friends while practicing cooperation, patience, and taking turns. One of the day’s most exciting discoveries was learning that their water guns could create a beautiful fountain! This sparked curiosity, laughter, and plenty of joyful exploration as the children experimented together.
After an energetic morning outdoors, everyone was ready for lunch. The children eagerly enjoyed their meals, with every child finishing their lunch and some even asking for extra servings—a wonderful sign of a fun-filled and active day!
なんてワクワクする一日だったことでしょう！上の学年の子どもたちが遠足に出かけていたため、レインボーとオーロラの子どもたちは、一緒にいつもより長い時間、水遊びを楽しみました。
子どもたちは、友達と一緒に水をはねさせたり、会話を交わしたり、遊んだりしながら、協力すること、忍耐強く待つこと、順番を待つことを学び、素晴らしい時間を過ごしました。この日、最もワクワクした発見の一つは、水鉄砲で美しい噴水ができることを知ったことでした！これによって子どもたちの好奇心が刺激され、笑い声が絶えず、みんなで一緒に試行錯誤しながら、喜びに満ちた探求の時間が繰り広げられました。
屋外でエネルギッシュな午前を過ごした後、みんなは昼食の準備が整いました。子どもたちは食欲旺盛に食事を楽しみ、全員が完食しただけでなく、おかわりをリクエストする子もいました。これは、楽しく活発な一日を過ごせたことを示す素晴らしい証拠です！
