This week, Milky Way continued exploring our new Unit of Inquiry about Storytelling. We also got creative with our Halloween preparations and enjoyed a wonderful bus trip surrounded by nature!
今週のMilky Wayでは、新しいUnit of Inquiryである**Storytelling（物語を伝えること）**についての学びを進めました。また、ハロウィンに向けた制作活動や、自然の中での楽しいバス遠足もありました！
Discovering the Elements of a Story
In UOI, we have started exploring what makes a story. Last time, we introduced characters (WHO), and this week we added another important element: setting (WHERE).
We read The Bremen Town Musicians in English and discussed the different characters and places in the story. Afterwards, the students completed a sorting activity where they had to identify which pictures showed characters and which showed settings. This helped them understand how different elements work together to create a story.
We also introduced our new Story Project! Over the coming weeks, the students will gradually create their own stories as we learn about different story elements. Our first step will be imagining and drawing our very own characters!
今週のUOIでは、物語を作るために必要な要素について学びました。前回は**Characters（登場人物・WHO）について学び、今週は新しくSetting（物語の舞台・WHERE）**を紹介しました。
英語で『ブレーメンの音楽隊』を読み、物語に登場するキャラクターや、どこでお話が起こっているのかを考えました。その後、絵を見ながら登場人物と場所を分類する活動に取り組み、物語を作るために必要な要素について理解を深めました。
また、新しいStory Projectも始まりました！これから物語のさまざまな要素を学びながら、少しずつ自分だけのオリジナルストーリーを作っていきます。まずは、自分のキャラクターを考えて描くところからスタートします！
Getting Creative for Halloween!
With our Halloween Party getting closer, we started making our very own Trick-or-Treat bags!
This week, the students explored papier-mâché, using paper and paste to begin shaping their creations. It was a wonderfully messy activity, and everyone enjoyed getting their hands involved! The students had to work carefully and patiently as they added layers of paper.
We are looking forward to seeing how their bags turn out as we continue working on them!
ハロウィンパーティーに向けて、トリック・オア・トリート用のバッグ作りを始めました！
今回は、紙と糊を使って形を作る**張り子（ペーパーマッシュ）**に挑戦しました。手が糊でベタベタになる感触も楽しみながら、紙を一枚ずつ丁寧に重ねていきました。少し根気のいる作業でしたが、みんな楽しそうに取り組んでいました。
これからどんな素敵なバッグが完成するのか楽しみです！
A Wonderful Adventure at Showanomori Park!
One of the highlights of our week was our exciting bus trip to Showanomori Park!
We started our adventure at the playground, where everyone had lots of fun climbing, running, and playing together. Next, we walked to an area with outdoor exercise equipment and enjoyed trying out the different activities.
Afterwards, we took a lovely walk through the forest, enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings. Finally, we arrived at a large open field where we sat down for lunch before enjoying even more outdoor play. With another playground right next to the field, there was plenty to keep everyone busy!
It was an incredibly active day filled with fresh air, exploration, and laughter. Everyone had a wonderful time!
今週の大きなイベントの一つは、昭和の森公園へのバス遠足でした！
まずは遊具のある広場で、登ったり、走ったり、友だちと一緒にたくさん遊びました。その後、屋外の健康遊具があるエリアへ移動し、いろいろな運動にも挑戦しました。
続いて、森の中を散策しながら、美しい自然を楽しみました。最後は広々とした芝生のあるエリアへ向かい、みんなでお弁当を食べました。昼食後も、広場やすぐ隣の遊具で思いきり遊ぶことができました！
たくさん体を動かし、自然に触れ、笑顔いっぱいの一日となりました！
