This week we started our last and final unit for the year and it is all about Sharing the Planet! Our central idea is “People have a responsibility to save resources”
First, we tackled in class the different kinds of resources that use in order to live. Students learned the difference between man-made and natural resources. We realized that the materials that people use in making man-made resources also came from natural resources, therefore it is crucial to conserve these nature’s gifts.
One of the highlights of this unit is natural resources. The first natural resource that we discussed in class is water. Water is an essential part of life, not just to people but to all living things. Students learned that there is a lot of water on the planet, but only a small portion of this amount is safe for us to use. It is therefore important to save and conserve water.
