This week, we said goodbye to the month of June and welcomed July!
今週は、6月にバイバイ👋して、7月を迎えました！そしてオーロラ24人目のお友達がクラスにやってきました✨オーロラ大家族でもっと楽しくなりそうですね😍
At the last of June, Aurora made a craft which is related to Star Festival or Tanabata observed on July 7th. They created a shooting star using origami papers. They followed seven steps of folding the paper to make a star and the teacher helped them at the end to completely form the star. Then, they cut shiny papers and pasted them at the side of the star. We also had their pictures pasted on it! Look how cute they are!
7月のイベントは七夕です！オーロラさんは流れ星を作りました！💫
まずは折り紙で星を作ります⭐️年少さんなのに、みんなと〜〜っても上手にできました👏そしてキラキラの折り紙をハサミでチョキチョキ✂️
（星の最後の仕上げと写真を貼るのだけ先生達が手伝いました）
願い事がたくさん叶いそうな素敵な流れ星が出来上がり👀❤️
It was also a great week to start our Unit 2: How We Organize Ourselves with the Central Idea: We can clean up after ourselves and our first LOI is Clean and dirty/messy. We unlocked the words organize, clean, and dirty/messy. We also watched videos about how dirty our hands and mouth are. We found out that even if our hands look clean, there’s still dirt/germs in them that our eyes couldn’t see, and only using a microscope could see those germs. That’s why we need to wash our hands regularly. Our mouth becomes dirty and gets bacteria by eating unhealthy and sweet foods and we can only get rid of them by brushing our teeth.
そして今週からUnit2「自分たちの組織の仕方」が始まりました😉
セントラルアイディアは「私たちは自分の周りの片付けができる」です。年少さんになって、自分の周りのことが自分でしっかりできる様になってきたので、オーロラさんにとても合ったセントラルアイディアだと思います。そして一番始めのLOIは、「清潔と不清潔」について学びます。
（4月の初めにも書きましたが、IBの教育方法でISNオーロラクラスは3つに分けられたLines Of Inquiry （LOI1、2、3）を探求しながら、セントラルアイディアを理解します。）
まずは整頓する、清潔、不清潔、などの初めて聞く単語の意味をクラスで学びます。そして綺麗に見える手や口に中でも実はバイ菌などが潜んでいることを、ビデオを見て学びました。綺麗に保つためには何をしなければならないかも学びます。自分たちが毎日手洗い、うがい、歯磨きをするのは、こう言った理由なんだということも学びました。口の中を清潔、かつ健康に保つには不健康な食べ物や甘い物ばかりを食べてると良くないこと、歯磨きをしなければバイ菌はいなくならないことを学習しました。
Letter J was our focus this week. They had a group activity which was to find all the letter J’s on the card by drawing a line on it. They coloured the pictures that begin with this letter and its sound such as jellyfish, jelly, jeep, joker, jar, and jug. They also finished writing uppercase letter J.
今週のフォニックスとライティングはアルファベットのJを集中的に学習しました。グループで（テーブルごとに）アルファベットのJを探すアクティビティ、Jで始まる単語の絵を先生に言われた順でクレヨンで塗るアクティビティなどをしながら学びました😊
New game was introduced in Math which is BINGO. We played Number Bingo and they really liked it. Each student was given a Bingo card and 3 number counters. Once they used up all those 3 number counters, they would shout out BINGO and they would receive another 3 number counters to continue the game. Everybody wanted to say BINGO that they couldn’t wait for the numbers in their cards to be called. We’ll try playing this game once a week to review numbers 0 to 10.
算数では、今回新しいゲームを紹介しました！なんとナンバービンゴです✌️
一人ずつ、六個の数字からなるビンゴカードと、三個のナンバーカウンターが与えられ、始めに三つの数字にナンバーカウンターを置けたらビンゴとなります。初めてだったので、揃った時に「ビンゴ！」というのを逃してしまったお友達がたくさんいました😁ですが1度味をしめたら自分たちの数字が呼ばれるのが待ちきれなく、早くビンゴと叫びたい子供達がいっぱいでした😆😇
オーロラさん初めてのビンゴにとても興奮していて、みんなのお気に入りのゲームになった様です😉 週に一回の0から10の数の復習の時にまたビンゴゲームをやりたいと思っています♪
Our boys and girls enjoyed at the gym. They did a great job in doing our stretching exercises, running race, and spinning hulahoops!
そしてみんな大好きジムのレッスンです！ストレッチから始まり、かけっこの練習やフラフープもやりました！

〜食育について〜
7月の目標は「箸、フォークを（なるべく）正しく握れる様努力する」です。
それに加えて、オーロラさんは食べるのをできるだけ40分以内に全員終えることも目標としています。
〜毎月の席替え〜
オーロラさんは新しいお友達も多いので、席替えを1ヶ月に1度行っています👍クラスみんなと仲良く楽しく学ぶことができたらいいなと思います😊
