As children grow and enter preschool, they start to discover more of the outside world and their world gets a little bigger. They will begin to socialize and interact with others who don’t know them and who they don’t know. They will try to connect with people at school both young and old. They will be having friends and will try to build relationships. For that reason and for starters, it is important for them to learn about self and how to introduce themselves to others.
子どもたちが成長し入園する頃には、外の世界をより多く発見するようになり、その世界は少しずつ広がっていきます。子どもたちは社交的になり、自分のことを知らない人や自分が知らない人と交流するようになる。老若男女を問わず、学校の人々とつながりを持とうとするようになる。友達を持ち、人間関係を築こうとするだろう。そのため、まずは自分のことを知り、自己紹介の仕方を学ぶことが大切になります。
This week we continue our IB learning journey. We introduced the first UOI (Unit Of Inquiry) Unit 1 with our Central Idea entitled ABOUT ME! Our Line of Inquiries are LOI 1: Who Am I? and LOI 2: Who Are My friends?
今週もIBの学びの旅は続きます。最初のUOI(Unit Of Inquiry)ユニット1をABOUT MEと題したセントラルアイデアで紹介しました！今回の探求の方針は、LOI 1: Who Am I? とLOI 2: Who Are My friends?です。
Firstly, the kids learned their names and the beginning letter of their names. They practiced how their names were written and spelled. They also practiced introducing themselves…My name is…What’s your name? My name starts with the letter…How about you?
まず、子供たちは自分の名前とその頭文字を覚えました。自分の名前の書き方やスペルも練習し、自己紹介の練習もしました。
私の名前は…で始まります、あなたは？
For the activity, the kids made a self portrait. They creatively drew their cute faces. It was fun looking at everyone’s interesting pictures.
アクティビティとして、子供たちは自画像を描きました。みんなクリエイティブに自分のかわいい顔を描いていました。そしてみんなの出来上がった絵を見るのも楽しかったです。
Next, the kids learned about their age and their birth date. They practiced and will continue to practice how to say How old are you? I’m__ yrs. Old.. When’s your birthday? My Birthday is on….How about you?
For the activity they traced their hand and foot prints and they also did find out the month they were born and how old they are. With your help this activity is more enjoyable and memorable. It’s good to have this activity it will one day remind them of how they were in their preschool days.
次に、子供たちは自分の年齢と生年月日について学びました。
何歳ですか？私は〇歳です。〇歳です。
誕生日はいつですか？私の誕生日は○月○日です。
このアクティビティでは、手と足の型をなぞり、自分の生まれた月と年齢を調べました。おうちの方の協力のおかげで、このアクティビティはより楽しく、思い出深いものになりました。いつかこれが園児時代の自分の思い出となったら嬉しいです。
So that’s our UOI learning so far, We will update you more on our UOI Unit 1 journey in the next coming blogs. We will be learning more of self and others and this unit will last for 3 months.
