Greetings from the Head of Campus

Mary Rose Jareno

Head of ISN Nagano Campus

Hello there! Welcome to our school community!

My name is Mary Rose Jareno. I am honored to serve as the Head of Campus here at the International School of Nagano- Nagano Campus, situated in a quiet residential neighborhood with several nearby parks, providing an ideal environment for commuting and outdoor play. It is a privilege to lead a vibrant learning environment where students are encouraged to explore, grow, and thrive.

With over 15 years of teaching experience across all levels—including preschool, elementary, junior high school, and adult English learners—I bring a deep understanding of how students learn and grow at every stage of life. This broad perspective informs my commitment to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring school environment for every learner.

At ISN, we are deeply committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and personally. We are guided by a clear mission: to empower children through learning. Every day, our dedicated team of educators works to create meaningful experiences that ignite curiosity, inspire creativity, and foster a lifelong love of learning in every child.

Through an inquiry-based approach, students are encouraged to ask questions, make connections, and take ownership of their learning. This method not only builds strong academic foundations but also develops critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills—preparing students to become active, caring, and lifelong learners.

Our vision is inspiring: a world of choice for all children. We believe that when children are empowered through education, they gain the confidence and skills to shape their future—and to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

Whether you are a current member of our school family or a prospective parent seeking the right environment for your child, I invite you to explore our website and learn more about the exceptional programs and values that define our school.

We look forward to welcoming you to our community at ISN- Nagano Campus.
