Nagano Rainbow ~ On Our Own: A Walk to the Park (January 20th-24th)

Hello everyone!

Rainbow class was fortunate to have perfect weather this week to enjoy the atmosphere in the park.

Park

We played Jag in the park. Sometimes, the rules were confusing because it was our first time trying it, and we didn’t know what to do, but after a while, we learned how to play and enjoyed it. Others searched for insects, but we only found a poisonous mushroom. We have always been fond of chasing each other. That is our favorite thing to do lately on every park visit.

Music

We had our Music lesson last monday because other classes had a pool open day. The kids were confused about why we had our music lesson on Monday. Even the teacher explained about it before starting the morning circle, discussing our daily routine schedule, still they kept asking why. We reviewed what we did the past week, balancing our bodies with one foot when the music stopped and walking around along with the music. We enjoyed a lot in doing the " tong, pa" by saying it and clapping our hands saying tong and touching our partner`s hand saying pa. Their pair teamwork was impressive.

Transportation

We did some transportation-related activities. We scattered pictures of different kinds of transportation all around the classroom. The teacher said one transportation name, and the students looked around to find it. When they saw it, they had to give it to the teacher and say what they had. We also used the letter “B” for our tracing lines practice and did the worksheet about traffic lights.

Outside play

We also played in the playground. Construction is ongoing next to the campus, and we saw different types of transportation. We were amazed to see them in real life: cranes, big trucks, excavators, and how they work. Time flies too fast watching the workers do their jobs using that transportation. It is interesting to watch.

Inside play

Because of the tragic incident happened at the nagano station earlier this week, we had a strict protocol to stay inside the classroom to ensure our safety. These days it very scary to go around the public or crowded area because there was these kind of incident happened in different places. Please be cautious and stay safe always.

We did some activities like; crawling underneath the chairs, transferring the ball from one side to the other side by rolling our body, ring toss and more.

Clay

Clay play is more than just a fun activity for our little one; it’s a foundation for creativity, skill-building, and emotional growth. By incorporating clay into our free play, you’re giving them a hands-on experience that stimulates their imagination and supports their development in countless ways.

Birthday Party

This month we had two birthday celebrants. They were thrilled for this day to come. All of us always excited for the birthday party because we knew that we could eat a cake after.🥰

Here is a song that we sang this week, enjoy singing together with your little one.

Thank you for your time, and see you next week!

Have a safe and great weekend!
