Hello everyone! Shooting Star class did some fun activities this week and they were able to show that they are knowledgeable. We’ve been learning about the learner profiles everyday and we focused on how to be knowledgeable. Knowledgeable means we learn many things and we can show what we have learned.
In our Phonics and writing lessons, we reviewed the letter names, sounds, and tried to write them. We did a Playdough Alphabet activity wherein students made the letters being said by the teacher using their playdough and practiced saying the letters sounds altogether. Everyone had so much fun when we did the Sound and Write activity, especially when the teacher revealed the correct answers and they got them right.
みなさん、こんにちは！今週、Shooting Starクラスでは楽しいアクティビティーを行い、自分たちが知識がある人【knowledgeable】であることを示すことができました。私たちは毎日、学習者プロファイルについて学び、知識を持つことに焦点を当てました。知識があるということは、多くのことを学び、学んだことを示すことができるということです。
フォニックスとライティングのレッスンでは、文字と発音を復習し、実際に書いてみました。アルファベットのアクティビティでは、先生が言う文字を粘土で作り、文字の発音を言う練習をしました。特に、先生が正解を教えると、みんなとても盛り上がって楽しんでいました。
On Tuesday, we began to explore the unit of inquiry about family focusing on different types of families and roles in the family entitled “My Role”. To assess their knowledge about the topic, we did matching activity. Students were given pictures of family members and names and walked around to find which matches their cards. They learned new vocabulary such as mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, etc. They also drew pictures of their family. How many are you in your family? Who lives in your house?
火曜日、私たちは「My Role（私の役割）」のテーマのもと、さまざまなタイプの家族と家族の中での役割に焦点を当てた、家族についての探究を始めました。このトピックに関する知識を評価するため、マッチング・アクティビティを行いました。家族の写真と名前を渡され、自分のカードと一致するものを探しました。mother, father, grandmother, grandfather（母親、父親、祖母、祖父）などの新しい語彙を学びました。また、自分の家族の絵を描きました。「あなたの家族は何人ですか？あなたの家には誰が住んでいますか？」
Shooting Star students were so thrilled seeing cherry blossoms and other flowers when we went to the gym while we were on the bus. The next day, we went to Nanbu park wherein they could see lots of cherry blossom trees. They enjoyed taking photos together under the beautiful trees and picking up petals on the ground. “Wow, it’s so beautiful!” most of them exclaimed.
Shooting Starさんたちは、バスで体育館に行ったとき、桜や他の花を見てとても感激していました。翌日は南部公園に行き、たくさんの桜の木を見ました。桜の木の下で一緒に写真を撮ったり、地面に落ちた花びらを拾ったりして楽しみました。「わあ、きれい！」とほとんどの子が叫んでいましたよ。
We had a great week together! We enjoyed singing our new songs and moving with dances and we learned many things! Have a wonderful weekend!
