This week was extra special — we had a very exciting visitor: the Mayor of Nakano City! He came to our school to meet the students and spend time learning about what we do. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect and share thoughts with a city leader.

今週はとても特別な出来事がありました。なんと、中野市長が学校に来てくださいました！子どもたちと交流し、学校の様子を見ていただく素晴らしい機会となりました。市長と直接お話しできる貴重な時間でした。

In class, we’ve been focusing on getting to know ourselves — discovering what makes each of us unique. Whether it’s a special ability, a hidden talent, or a meaningful relationship, we’ve been exploring and celebrating what makes us us. Students also worked together in groups to share and discuss their personal insights, based on our current unit.

授業では、自分自身を知ることをテーマに活動しています。自分の特技や才能、大切な人との関係など、「自分だけの特別なもの」を見つけることを目指しています。また、ユニットに基づいたグループワークを通して、お互いの考えをシェアし合いました.

Another highlight of the week was our very first gym lesson! It was so much fun to move our bodies and learn from a professional instructor. Everyone was full of energy and excitement!

さらに、今週は初めての体育の授業も行われました！インストラクターの先生と一緒に体を動かし、楽しい時間を過ごしました。

And to top it all off, we were proud to feature two of our talented students who performed during our morning assembly. It was a joy to see them shine. Thank you for sharing your talents with us — we’re so proud of all our students and the unique gifts they bring to our school community!

そして、朝のアセンブリーでは、学校の代表として2人の子どもたちが才能を披露してくれました。それぞれの個性と輝きを感じる素晴らしい発表でした。発表してくれたお二人、ありがとうございました！これからも、子どもたち一人ひとりの「特別」を大切にしていきます。
