Hello dear parents and friends,

The temperature is getting warmer and the children spend their days actively playing outdoors. It’s been a week since we started this school year. Our students are getting used to doing their routines everyday.

We introduced the IB Lesson for Unit 1 about “MYSELF”. One of the Lines of Inquiry is “There are many people around me” so we did a school tour to get to know who are people in our campus. We did a school tour and we visited all the classes including the kitchen and the office. Our students asked some questions to teachers and other students. They asked questions like “What’s your teachers’ name?, How old are you?, How many boys are there?, How many girls are there?”. On our reflection after the school tour, they were able to know the other classes’ name as well as their teachers.

気温も暖かくなり、子どもたちは屋外で活発に遊ぶ日々を過ごしています。新年度が始まって1週間が経ちました。子どもたちは毎日の生活にも慣れてきたようです👍

IBレッスンのユニット1では、「MYSELF（自分自身）」について紹介しました。Lines of Inquiryのひとつに 「People around me （私の周りにはたくさんの人がいる）」があるので、キャンパスにはどんな人がいるのかを知るために、スクールツアーに出かけました！全部のクラス、オフィスやキッチンも見学しました。「先生の名前は何ですか？」「何歳ですか？」「男の子は何人いますか？」「女の子は何人いますか？」など、子ども達がドキドキしながら質問をしました。スクールツアーの振り返りでは、他のクラスの名前や先生のを名前を知ることができたようです😊

We learned the Phonics A and the words that start with it. We did a hands on activity; Connecting A using pom poms. Students get familiar what Letter A looks like. Then we ttaced the letter A. It is the first time for some students to use pencil but they could hold them properly. Well done, Aurora.

フォニックスレッスンでは、アルファベットAと、Aから始まる単語を学びました。ポンポンを使ってAをつなげるアクティビティを行い、Aという文字がどのような形をしているのかを学んだり、Aの文字をなぞったりしました。初めて鉛筆を使う子もいましたが、きちんと持つことができました。オーロラさん、頑張ったね✨

We had a birthday party for the April celebrators. Ms. Marlyn hosted the event and she entertained us with her beautiful princess dress and sang for us “Let it Go!” and everyone chorused with her. Everyone had a blast and our Celebrators were delighted receiving a birthday card from their teacher. Happiest birthday to our precious students!

今週は4月生まれのお友達のお誕生日会を行いました！Ms.Marlynが、みんなの大好きなプリンセスエルサに変身して楽しませてくれました！みんなで一緒に「Let it go」を歌って大盛り上がりでした！お誕生日の先生お友達はバースデーカードをもらって大喜び😊お誕生日おめでとう🎊！！

Aurora students had a blast during gym time. They got their bodies moving, stayed warm with some stretches, and zoomed around in fun races with friends and teachers.

ジムレッスンでも元気いっぱい！体を動かし、ストレッチで体を温め、友だちや先生たちと楽しく走り回りました😊
