Firstly, a BIG SHOUT OUT to our April birthday boys and girls! Happy 4th Birthday!!! We had a birthday party for all the students in ISN. Canyon had our own little ‘birthday cake’ in class too.

皆様、こんにちは。今週はまず初めに声を大にして、4歳のお誕生日を迎えた3名のCanyonさんにおめでとうを伝えたいと思います。ISNのお誕生日会でお祝いをしました。キャニオンクラスでもお誕生日会を3名それぞれのお誕生日当日に開きお祝いしました。

Our favourite song this week is HEADS SHOULDERS KNEES and TOES! Canyon was so excited with the action song they all wanted to perform for the class. We have started learning about the different parts of our bodies. Through songs, music and movement, jigsaw puzzles, chalk drawing in the schoolyard and routine care like washing our hands, Canyon is beginning to pick up words to talk about ourselves.

今週のヒットは、HEADS SHOULDERS KNEES and TOES!でした！キャニオンさん達、この曲を聞くと大喜びで体を動かし始めます。身体の色々な場所の名前を英語で覚え、この歌や音楽、パズル、チョークを使ってのお絵描きなどを通して学びを定着させました。さらには、普段の生活で頻繁に行う手洗いなども含めて、キャニオンさん達は本当にたくさんの言葉を覚えました。

Our favourite day is coming… Children’s Day Kodomo-No-Hi! In class, Canyon was shown pictures of koi-nobori: carp flags. We watched a short video about the story of how the carp become so strong that it flew into the heavens and became a dragon! We wish for all children to grow up strong and healthy too. We started making handprints for our koi-nobori craft. Till next week, have a fabulous weekend!

子どもたちにとってとても楽しみなこどもの日がもうすぐやってきます。クラスでも、こいのぼりの絵を見たり、小さなこいのぼりを飾ってこどもの日のお話をたくさんしました。短いビデオでどんな日で、どうやってお祝いするのか、なぜ鯉がこいのぼりなのかも学びました。お話では、強い鯉が天高くお空に昇り、龍のようになった、ということでした。全ての子どもたちの健やかな成長を祈ります。クラフトでもこいのぼりを制作しました。来週まで、良い週末をお過ごしください。
